A must see.

An amazing beach with great food. The food and margaritas are great. It is better to take a trip there in a lancha from one of the locals which can give you great insight.

Where do I begin? Beautiful remote setting but not a lot of comfort amenities. Great for stopping in for a drink, but would not recommends spending the day. There is a very narrow beach, our belongings were soaked with one wave. The dock is old and full of barnacles, no big water tour boat has access, we had to be... More

Take the Orange bus ( it leaves from the side of the Oxxo on Basillio Badillo), to the end of the line at Boca de Tomatlan. That is 8 pesos. Walk down the hill and find the guy selling tickets for the water taxi ( 70 pesos each way). The first stop is Playa Las Animas, the second is Quimixto,... More

Playa Las Animas is a great beach to visit while in PV. The water is beautiful, the beach is not rocky and you have plenty of restaurants to choose from for food and drinks. Get there by water taxi or hike in from Boca de Tomatlan. You can even take a water taxi from the PV pier.

Main attraction is whiter sand than the central bay beaches but the sea is not that calm. The food is not great so I am not sure it's worth the trip all the way there.

The trip to Las Animas is by boat only---there are zero roads to get there---the restaurants are very rustic and quite good

Only accessible by water taxi, unless you want to make the hike which I hear is beautiful. Well worth the visit. We rented a boat to tour Los Arcos and then take us to Las Animas. It was a fabulous day. Las Animas has a beautiful beach, great for swimming and all kinds of water sport. Not many people when... More

We arrived here by local boat taxi. There were very few people on the beach when we got there, around 11 am. Water was very clear. The margaritas and pina colada's were very good. If a lady comes by selling slices of pie, buy some! We had the pecan pie and coconut pie. It tasted unlike any other pie I... More
