Playa Las Animas is a beautiful beach that can only be reached by water taxi, but well worth the ride. Take the bus to Boca from Emilio Bedilio at the Oxxo for 8 pesos. When you reach Boca walk down to the beach, and catch a water taxi for 50 pesos to Las Animas. There are a few restaurants to... More

We took the bus from Puerto Vallarta to Boca de tomatlan then a water taxi to Las Animas. Super easy and inexpensive day trip. Great beach bars and amazing service!

Playa Las Animas is a really wonderful beach! It's better than anything in Puerto Vallarta and much less crowded. You can get there by water taxi from the pier at PV or you can catch one of the buses that leave PV every 10 mins from the bus hub at corner of Basilio Badillio and Calle Constitucion (there is an... A great beach to relax, soft sand and waves, clear water and quite a few places to eat and things to do. You can only get here by sea, so take a water taxi from Boca.

this was our company's retreat stopover, for a lunch on the beach and some quick dip/relax on this very nice and semi secluded place. Place was very nice, people super friendly (Banda/Mariachi band as well ;) )

This was by far the best vacation. If you havent already been this is a place you want to visit. Parasailing is a must if you come to this beach!

The hike to Las Animas from Boca is wonderful. It is moderately challenging and takes an hour or two depending on your athletic ability. The mediocre rating is specifically for Playa Las Animas as the beach is packed with tourists and restaurants. If you love beaches, I recommend spending time at some of the beaches along the hike to Las... More

Me and a friend spend couple hours here. There is no road, car access. We had a boat tour by Barco Cielito Lindo, which was amazing as well. This small sandy local beach have few resturants, not sure but maybe a hotel as well. Is quiet place to relax!
