Took a tour sold on Celebrity cruise line.Of all city tours this gets a C- where new developments are killing the old world ambience.Way over developed for my tastes.Crime here is very serious, pick pocket thieves are warned by the ship's staff.Makes Cozumel look like an A port and with out the heavy traffic and beggars.

My friend & I enjoyed our walking visit through the Zona Romantica. We enjoyed browsing in some of the many shops. We also took a nice break to rest up and enjoy a good lunch and margaritas in one of the many beachfront restaurants right on the sand.

Last year was our 27th winter trip to Puerto Vallarta. Each year we get a condo right on the Malicon in Zona Romantica. In our opinion, the Zona Romantica is Puerto Vallarta. Bandaras Bay, the beach, small cantinas, fabulous entertainment and great restaurants are all within walking distance. If you walk three or four blocks east from the Malicon you’re... More

This is a great neighborhood that is close to the ocean and that provides a wide variety of shops, bars, restaurants, and hotels. Very clean and safe.

The Romantic zone is by far the best place to be when visiting PVR. Everything is within walking distance....restaurants, beach, shopping, farmer's market, riverwalk, etc etc.

This area has plenty to do, historic tours, shopping, restaurants. Shop along the streets as you tour. Plenty of places to sample tequila, find local crafts and authentic cuisine.

We stayed in this area at a boutique hotel and it was lovely. Many art galleries, live music and small shops. There's a lot of construction at the moment which is the downside as it makes it a bit dusty and noisy.
