They have flat rates to charter the entire boat. The max. number of people depends on the size of the boat. I think 4 people is the smallest group. Search for "puerto vallarta fishing" (one word) (Trip Advisor's rules don;t allow website links, so hope you can figure the site's address out), 6 hour charters range from $495 - $3,825 depending on the size of the boat. I don't think this is a single firm's site, but a website that links fishermen with various charters. Kind of like an Airbnb for fishing charters.
Hope this helps.

Puerto Vallarta Fishing Charter Week of Dec 26 - Jan 2 (11 Replies)
HI - I am going to be staying at Paradise Island the last week in December and plan to book a day trip fishing for big fish with one of the local charters. Dec 30th is the day I'm targeting. Cost is about $1000 8+ hour deep water trip, and I have a party of 2. Most charters have boat size of 6+ people fishing. I am looking for 2 to 4 additional people that would like to split the cost. My Gf and I are easy going and fun. If you're interested or have room on a charter you're planning, email...More

Barry, you might want to also post this on the Nuevo Vallarta forum as that is where you are staying, not in PV. You might get better/more responses that way. tripadvisor.ca/ShowForum-g154267-i323-Nuevo_…

Fish-in-Vallarta Puerto Vallarta Sportfishing (11 Replies)
We will be in PV in April and are looking for a good deep sea fishing outfit to go with...has anyone ever heard of this company and are they reputable? Their name is listed as Fish-in-Vallarta Puerto Vallarta Sportfishing and then on the same website they also call themselves Puerto Vallarta Fishing. I would apprecaite any information before we book.
