My wife found Bernardo via a recommendation from FB. She wanted a nice boat to spend the day with friends on the water, touring the bay, watching whales and relaxing. We have chartered many boats both sail and motor over the years in PV and this was by far our best experience. Bernardo was easy to communicate with via Messenger and nice to work with.
We chartered Andale which is approximately a 55 foot Sea Ray that is clean, very comfortable, great condition, nice sound system, below is air conditioned with full bathroom and very well maintained. We had three couples onboard the boat but it can easily handle 4 to 6 couples depending on ones desire for space and privacy. The captain Juan Carlos (I think is his name, sorry) and his assistant Alexa were great. They were very friendly, professional, attentive, knowledgeable and cared for everyones needs. We spent 5 hours touring along the south shore and loved every minute of our time on Andale. We highly recommend working with Bernardo and we will definitely be back!

Excellent fishing experience with FINtastic. We started the morning with trolling nearby the shore for barracuda and other smaller fish. The action was pretty consistent with a lot of fish being caught. After a few hours we moved to the mouth of a river to try our luck with snapper. Using cut bait and drifting, we found the fish and again had consistent action. The boat was nice and spacious. The crew was very knowledgeable and friendly. When we got back to the dock the fish was cleaned and filleted for us to take back and cook at our resort. All in all it was a great experience and I would recommend FINtastic for anyone looking to fish Puerto Vallarta.

two of my teens and I booked a trip this past Christmastime with Bernard and his crew.
We had never gone out sea fishing before, only in rivers and lakes. We had a blast!!!
Bernard was waiting for us at the dock as promised, and took us to one of his beautiful white boats. We headed out not knowing what to expect, but felt safe and secure with his assurance of "of course, we can't guarantee any fish, but we're going to try our best". After about an hour of trolling, a fish hit and my older daughter hopped up and reeled in a Spanish mackerel. She was all smiles. Then about 15 minutes later the "zzzziiiiizzzzzzzzzzz" of the reel sounded again and my 14-year old boy hopped up for his turn. His was a little bigger. He reeled and tugged and tugged and reeled. All of us were curious as to what the heck was on the line. He pooped himself out after about 15 minutes or so of hard work, but with the verbal help and constant support of Bernard he landed a 30 lb Jack Crevalle. A monster. He was exhausted yet smiling. He'll never forget that fish. Even his older sister gave him some props.
After listening to the radio chatter amongst all the other boats in the area, we heard that they had absolutely NO luck in the same 4 hour period we were out, and that meant we were the ONLY boat out to catch a fish of any reportable size. Bernard was happy to know that even on a light morning, his boat had all the right equipment to keep his people happy.
I would have NO regrets in recommending Bernard's Fintastic Fishing trip to anyone headed his way. His crew was pro, his boat was clean, and he even took us to a Marina restaurant that cooked our fish for us into some delicious tacos and served it for lunch for an incredible price. Thank you Bernard and crew. We'll be back.

Second time fishing in Vallarta. We did the 8 hour with 6 people. Bernardo was very responsive on email and had us all set up well before we arrived. We were met right on time and loaded and underway in minutes.
We weren't targeting anything specific, so we had lines in the water inside the bay in under 30 minutes. A few minutes later, we had a Mahi in the boat. Captain Wilson put us on a few schools of Skipjack for some fun light tackle fishing, and we boated 2 more good-sized Mahi before the day was out.
Thank you Wilson and Charlie for a great day on the water...one of the highlights of our trip. We'll be hitting these guys up again next time we're in town.

Lots of options to go fishing but safety, professionalism and knowledge are key to making a decision. Bernardo is great at answering questions and helping guide your decisions.
The crew was awesome and professional.
Fished 3 different spots in 6 hours and got 28 fish. Had a great time. The cold water pushed a lot of fish further out but that’s just nature.
Others will offer cheaper options but won’t deliver the size and speed of Bernardos boats.
And experienced and friendly crews.

Had a great fishing trip with my wife and two young daughters in the middle of July with FINtastic. It was the first time the girls had been deep sea fishing so I was worried they would get sick or not catch anything or get a sun burn and just not enjoy the trip.
Man was I wrong!!
We had a blast catching tons of fish, the weather was cloudy and cool, the Sea's were calm and we enjoyed every minute of it! Alexis and his crew were great and took care of my girls the entire time. The fishing was outstanding and the Ceviche was out of this world!
They filleted our catch and when we got into port Alexis took us to a restaurant that cooked it for us and we all walked away fat and sleepy!! It was EPIC!
Thanks a lot, looking forward to coming back next year!!

This was our first family trip since the pandemic started and we wanted a special one to make up for the lost holidays and birthdays together. FINtastic delivered that every step of the way with quick replies to our booking inquires and questions, clear instructions of where to meet them and how to get there, and of course, the crew's hospitality and attention during the actual trip. Our every need was taken care of and we were consulted with options like "go directly to snorkeling" or "enjoy the coastal scenery first." Luxurious boat, friendly and attentive crew, and an unexpected whale sighting all came together for a memorable vacation. Another big thank you to the FINtastic team!!

Super friendly and helpful staff. We paid for 4 hours and received 5 hours on board to fish since ithe fishing was slow. We learned how to cast on a boat. Caught a rooster and Jack Craval with some smaller fish. We had a very enjoyable time.

Although the fishing was particularly slow on this day we were able to save the trip with that Rooster and that Jack Crevalle.

Amazing trip and an awesome crew. We got into a lot of mahi and crushed it. Carlos and the captain were both amazing and the owner Bernardo was very easy to deal with and very kind booking this trip. I’ve been on alot of charters and this was by far the best one. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking to catch fish and have a great time book with them. Puerto Vallarta is beautiful and the people even more so!!

We had a WONDERFUL experience from start to finish. Bernardo responded quickly to my inquiry. We were able to get the boat chartered for the date we requested. The super friendly staff met us right on time and came fully prepared. We had lines in the water within 20 minutes of leaving the marina. The first mate NEVER stopped! We had ten or twelve lines in the water and the first mate worked endlessly making sure everything was set correctly to give us the best chances of hitting BIG! When we did hit, we hit multiple fish at the same time and the first mate ran that boat like a swiss watch with giving us perfect instructions on the proper procedure all while communicating with the captain to ensure the boat was helping us as much as possible when it came to pulling those monsters in! We instantly had delicious ceviche freshly made from our catch for lunch and kept on fishing! Fantastic boat, fantastic crew, incredible rods and reels, top of the line equipment, super super knowledgeable captain and crew, comfy interior, clean bathroom, and great speaker system for tunes! Just an all round AWESOME experience!

How’s the bay fishing in late January? Not interested in catching jack crevalle. Perhaps fish we could eat or other sporting varieties like dorado. What would a trip for four cost. How many people are on your group trips? Room to fish for everyone? Can I book when we arrive on January 4?

Hello and thank you for inquiring about our fishing trips. We specialize in bottom fishing and we target rock fish such as grouper and snapper. We also drift when the spanish mackarel are in. We only troll for Jackcrevalle if we see a boil and only once everyone has had a chance to bottom fish.
Its $89 usd for adults and $59 usd for kids.
The boat is 50´ and its a walkaround lay out so its designed so everyone can fish of the side. We take up to 18 people so there is plenty of room for everyone to fish.
We recommend that you book in advance.

Our bottom fishing trip is $89USD for adults and $59 USD for kids.
It’s a 5 hr trip and it includes: fishing license, bait and tackle, lunch box and boarding fee.
