I've fished with this company 3 other times before this trip. On two of those trips, it was great, caught fish and had a good time. Actually even with this trip we had a good time, even though we didn't catch any fish. My problem with this company, this time and in the past is communication. I booked this trip 3 months in advance. Emailed the people several times to find out what the details were, like what time we were going, where we would be picked up etc. Got emails back assuring me that when we arrived in Puerto Vallarta, someone would be in touch with the details. The afternoon before our fishing trip the next morning at 7 AM, I still had heard nothing from anyone. So I contacted the people by phone, and they told me where and when the next morning. The next morning we were there at 6:45 AM. There were numerous fishing boats anchored just off the pier, but nobody tried to contact us. Finally I called the people at about 7:20 asking where our boat was, and they told me it was there. I asked what the boat looked like, and sure enough it was there, but none of the 3 crew members bothered asking anyone waiting if we were there for Fishing Are Us. We went out and the trip was great, but everytime I deal with these people it always this non communication issue that bugs me, so next time I'll probably try someone else.

Once we found and were able to board our boat, we had a good day fishing. I was fishing with my brother and this was to have been an eight hour trip. (We returned to the dock early as we had limited out. We each caught 2 large mahi-mahi and I caught a good sized skip jack. Our mate Manny was good and and prepared some ceviche as we started back towards port.
Our issues were poor communication with booking agent. Despite sending several messages, none were returned. We were never told where to meet our character. After waiting at the company office for thirty minutes, I began searching the port for our boat..I eventually learned that it was on the opposite side of the marina and about a twenty minute walk. When booking this charter you make a deposit on your credit card and are to pay the balance to the captain. This charter advertised that the balance could also paid using a card. They did do this for us but with much difficulty and delay.

I was very nervous to take a fishing trip, all of my apprehensions were put to ease as soon as we left the marina. Victor and Manny were so friendly and accommodating. After about an hour long boat ride as the sun was rising we arrived at our 1st fishing destination, they had us on fish not long after the poles were put in the water. We were there for the action and that is what they gave us. I had mentioned I loved the dolphins so they made sure to take me to an area I could watch them. We caught so many more fiah than I had expected, and needless to say I caught the biggest fish of the day!! And to top it off we had the fish cooked fresh as soon as qe were off the boat. It was definitely one of the best times I have ever had!!! I will absolutely fishing with them the next time we go to PV!! Thank you sooooo much!!

This was by far the worst fishing trip we have ever had in Mexico. First off, we should have not been let out due to the conditions of the water. It was incredibly choppy and dangerous - almost no other boats went out, and the one's that did were brought in early. I should have known better and not gotten on the boat, "red sky in the morning sailors warning" after all. Unfortunately I trusted their judgement. The First mate said fish don't care about the weather and off we went... What a mistake. I got whiplash from being tossed around in the boat from the waves and we were drenched from head to toe from the onslaught of water coming over the gunwales for the entirety of the trip.
Immediately when we stepped onto the boat in the morning , we were told that the 6 hour trip we purchased would not suffice to catch the fish we were after, so we were forced into buying an additional 2 hours. At first they said we would get the rate per hour we purchased online, however when it came time to pay, it was $60/hour USD while we paid only about $40/hour USD online. We had pesos ready for payment since we are Canadian and figured they woudn't take CAD but they said they only accepted USD, not pesos. After some conversation, they said they would take our pesos but at a rate of 20 pesos per american dollar, which is much higher than the current exchange rate. How do you not accept Mexican pesos at a fair market value in the Mexico? Since the rate was a rip off and we had to take USD out, we had to go to a USD ATM by the pier to take out money at a 13% additional charge.. which the first mate followed me to.
During the entire trip it was repeated to us 'the bigger the fish, the bigger the tip' and how they expect a large tip at the end of the trip - it's incredibly uncomfortable to keep hearing these things. We thankfully did end up catching a Mahi Mahi, but we did not get the guaranteed ceviche as it claims. Thank god they remembered the Coronas at least so we could drink our way through the whole experience.
I would not recommend Fishing Are US, stick to the old fashioned way of meeting Captains at the pier, negotiating a rate, and getting to know them so you don't get shook down at the end of your trip.
And for the record we were on Lucky 3, not Lucky 1 which we had booked... an older boat than the one pictured but hey there was nothing honest about this experience anyways.

Very happy, happy to have a femAle made aboard so my wife didn't feel outnumbered. We caught fish, saw many whales and dolphins. Captain was skilled as he had been fishing Bandaras Bay and the ocean since he was a child many decades ago and has won many big tournaments. He was experiencing at rigging and his mate was too. Four and a half stars from us!

We went on a fishing trip with this company last week and they were fantastic. The crew was friendly and fun. We caught tuna and 3 sail fish! The crew filleted our fish right there in the boat and then we took it back to our resort where they prepared it for us. It was a great experience and I would recommend them to anyone wanting to experience fishing in Puerto Vallarta.

The fishing was ok but seeing whales made it memorable! Staff were friendly, everything was on time. The fishing was not quite what we hoped for but the ability to also see whales made it a two for one excursion 😊

Had a private boat and fishing experience. We caught fish until we were tired of fishing, then relaxed on the boat. Our guides were knowledgeable about the area and the sites we visited. The arches are incredible. We at a beach side restaurant at a village only accessible by boat. Highly recommend.

Had a great fishing trip with Fishing Are Us in Puerto Vallarta. I caught two Mahi Mahi and we had fresh ceviche on the boat and it was great. Guides were very helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend fishing with them again and I plan to fish with them again.

We had a fantastic day out! The crew is respectful, highly skilled and organized. The ceviche they prepared from our catch was delicious. The vessel is clean and the captain knew exactly where to go. I wanted to see whales too and he accommodated me. I liked how respectful they were of our time and how punctual they were.

Hola Carlos buenos días! Tenemos viajes de 4 horas desde los $200 USD en nuestro charter "Azul Profundo", pueden ir máximo 6 personas pero solo 2 pescadores.
En este viaje de 4 horas puedes pescar un rato, hacer snorkel y nadar, o simplemente recorrer la bahía, no necesariamente tienes que pescar todo el tiempo si así lo deseas.
Tenemos charters más grandes como "Cachi I" y "Pami I" que vienen mejor equipados y son más cómodos. Puedes ingresar a nuestra página web y ver el equipamento, así como los mapas de las áreas y rangos de pesca.
