If you want to venture out to the friendly waters of Mazatlan, Onca won't leave you disappointed. Marine life is their business. Jesus and Oscar took us 15 miles out where we met several pods of whales. The tour group is small so it's personalized. Very rarely do promotional videos match the experience. It's money well spent .. Something my... More

We had a great day with Onca on our Wild Dolphin Adventure. We were in Mazatlan for the day on our recent cruise. Onca met us at the main gate to the cruise terminal and transported us to the El Cid Marina for our trip about 10 miles offshore to find, observe, and even swim with wild dolphins. We saw... More

First, a big thank you to Oscar and Saul for an outstanding experience. If you plan on taking this exploration you must remember two very important points: 1) the ocean is a huge place and 2) finding wild dolphins in the huge ocean isn't easy!! If not for some very helpful fisherman we may not have found any however when... More

We LOVED the Wild Dolphin Adventure. It was truly unique and amazing to be so close to sooooooooooo many dolphins. We literally saw 200 spotted dolphins! They swam so close to our boat, they sprayed us in the face! Then we jumped in the water three different times and were always just a few yards from them, swimming together, observing... More

After trying to get to Las Labradas for the last three years, I was finally able to get a small gathering together and make the trek! Well worth the time and money! Much closer to Mazatlan than any of us thought, and a day well spent on the beach spotting petroglyph after petroglyph! One of the archaeologists was there, so... More

Oscar and Saul took four of us to a reserve in the Palmitas ejido approximately 2 hours from Mazatlan. They provided a nice breakfast on the way and a guide (Santos) once we arrived. We had an excellent experience and saw the species we hoped to see, including the tufted jay, mountain trogon and quetzals as well as many other... More

Absolutely magical! The guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. The dolphins we got to see were so beautiful. Overall if you only do one thing in Mazatlan this needs to be it.

Whenever we go to Mexico in February we do a whale excursion. I would rate Onca Explorations as one of the best with the added bonus that your dollars go towards the research done by the University. We went out on one of the smaller boats with only 6 others on board plus the captain and our marine biologist guide.... More

We had a great time! The guides are great and very professional! We followed two males competing for a female and got to hear the one that didn't get the girl on the hydrophone! So amazing. We would recommend Onca and are already planning on it next year!
