Yesterday we arrived at El Cid. Breakfast at La Concha. Feeling the Pacific breathe with perfectly blue sky. My wife managed to hug and kiss few dozens of the personnel that are like our family by now. Luis Acosta, the F&B manager, gets a hug and a kiss and informs my wife that her beach chair with the towel is... More

My room was the original from when the hotel opened. It does not look like this photo, but I had a great time All Inclusive status. Enjoyed every minute except for the cleanliness and brightness of my room. Toilet was dirty, dishes, microwave and fridge was not clean. Because we were out most of the time, it didn't matter until... More

Everyone played in the surf, it was wonderful! Keep in mind that at El Morro the flags never changed in 14 days, it was always to dangerous to go in the water. Other neighboring hotels had different warnings. We decided, and it is just our opinion, that El Cid did not want the liability so they kept the danger alert... More

Access to the beach was closed for 3 of the 4 days we were there due to jelly fish coming to the shore and being in the sand. So we only got to spend a couple hours at the beach on our last day there. The rest of the time the access was blocked due to jelly fish for most... More

Resort was ok. Needs upgrades Staff was very attentive. Great beach, only problem was, too many locals selling everything from food to jewelry (land sharks). Couldn't just enjoy the ambiance without someone coming up to you selling something. Don't think we will return to this place.

The Hotel rooms have a wonderful view of the ocean and beach. The main restaurant has really good food. The service is very good. The pools, and hot tub are wonderful. Our room on the 6th floor was renovated, but other floors higher up were not. Had a good time!

We actually visited Mazatlan in 1999. The resort staff were up early every morning raking the sand on the beach which looked amazing. We parasailed from this beach and rented a Jet Ski which was very fun. I would visit again.

All of the wait staff were friendly, had a great sense of humor and no problems communicating. Rafael, at the steak house was awesome. Definitely visit the marina a sister hotel of the properties. The staff are terrific with advise and help to set up off site tours.

We really enjoyed our time at this Hotel. The staff was friendly and the facilities were lovely. Overall we felt taken care of and that our business was appreciated. I would recoomend going out and exploring Mazatlan as we found the food to be better priced and more flavourful. Ricos coffee is a great place to get wifi and a... More
