Carlos was an outstanding tour guide for our historic ride around the Historic Old City and the Malecon. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable and friendly, he also kept us safe with thorough training and safe passage through at times crowded areas. He made us feel like we were family. Highly recommend this tour.

Baikas is a new business renting bikes to tour Mazatlan. They are in the Hotel Bel Mar in Old Mazatlan and hve very good bikes. They also have kids bikes AND a trailer to tow a kid behind mom or dads bike. The bikes are new and they supply helmit's etc. Handy and reasonable. By the hour, half day, or full day. (Also long tem rentals)

We went on this Segway tour with the goal of learning more about Mazatlan AND to have fun riding a Segway. It was even better than I hoped! Rico was. Wonderful guide who clearly knew and loved the area. He took us through Old Town and down the Malecon, stopping periodically to talk about areas of interest. Twice we had to cross a busy street, so we stopped and he walked our individual Segways across the street to ensure safety. I highly recommend this trip.

Easy and fun!

We had a great time touring Old Town and the Malicon with Carlos on the Segways. Recommended! :) We booked ahead, online, and everything was easy-peasy. The hardest part was finding the place to check in. It is near the Hotel Belmar so go there and look for the BAIKAS sign...

Awesome Experience!

This was such a fun adventure, especially for touring a good portion of the beach boardwalk. Carlos was a well spoken and knowledgeable tour guide, we had a great time with him. We’d never ridden a Segway before and his team of instructors did a great job of showing us the ropes and getting us up to speed quickly. My only complaint, it wasn’t long enough, I could have ridden all day! (That’s not really a complaint, it means it was so much fun I didn’t want it to end). We will definitely get on a Segway again if we travel somewhere and want to see the sights. We covered a lot of ground in a short amount of time and learned some interesting facts about the city. I would totally recommend doing this. Thanks Carlos, this was one of the highlights of our trip and we’ve told everyone!

Fun Tour of Old Town and Malecon

A good experience with historical info and accounts by the native resident tour guide. My first time on a Segway where ample instruction and practice time was provided. Experienced riders were briefly evaluated, then we headed off at a safe and reasonable speed.

Our guide, Carlos, spoke excellent English. He made sure we were all familiar with how to operate the Segways, which are fun and easy to ride. He then took us all around the Old Town, Downtown, and Malecon areas. We saw the cliff divers, the cathedral, two main squares, and lots of other things. Carlos told us all about the history and culture of the area, interspersed with stories of his own life growing up in the area. We had a great time!

Great guides, easy riding

We enjoyed the biking through old-town Mazatlán, the guides were funny and wonderful. The trip included lots of stops and was basically flat. Learned a little history, time to shop, and included cliff divers.

Second tour and took family

We did this tour March 2017 and just did it again January 2018. This time we took our family. It was fun for all the ages in our group from 30 to 67. It's a good experience and faster way to get around the Old Mazatlan. You will go through a training class and when you are comfortable, off you go with your guide. Everyone at Baikas is helpful and friendly. We came in on a cruise, and had it scheduled months in advance. We were able to walk there from the port. There are several taxis available if walking is an issue.

Nice way to get around!

Rico took us first to the old town and the town square-very pretty! In fact we came back here later to eat lunch. we them proceeded north on the Malecon and stopped in several places. Nice breezes and great way to cover a lot of ground. I recommend you do this first and then walk to places you want to visit more later. Rico has a passion for what he is doing and is a proud citizen. Only thing that could use improvement is a better bathroom facility-but hey its Mexico!
