The beach is not the most beautiful, the beaches on the mainland are better. The hike to the look out was beautiful and a lot of fun, a little hands on at the last section, make sure to have good footwear. I went snorkeling after...More

The trip started with a boat ride around bird island. We did stop to watch a small group of sea lions floating in the water near the island. Once we moored near Deer Island, we took a small outboard motorboat to the island itself. After...More

We took a sailboat across the water from the Golden Zone in Mazatlan to Isla de Venados (Deer Island). This island is definitely worth a visit to get away from the crowds and merchants and noise of the main beach. Our sailboat ride roundtrip was...More

Took boat taxi over to this quiet remote beach area. Good to get away from busy tourist area for a 2-3 hour respite . Very nice clear water and nice forestry setting

Deer island is a nice swim from the main beach, or 200 pesos for a motor ride (2way). There are two cabanas, one for the tours, and the smaller one to the left if you’re on your own. The sandy beach facing Mazatlán is not...More

While visiting Mazatlan in October, we wanted to try a new adventure. Deer Island was a fun day where we snorkeled, swam, and explored the beach. The bathrooms were nice and the beach was beautiful!
