We took a sailboat across the water from the Golden Zone in Mazatlan to Isla de Venados (Deer Island). This island is definitely worth a visit to get away from the crowds and merchants and noise of the main beach. Our sailboat ride roundtrip was...More

Deer island is a nice swim from the main beach, or 200 pesos for a motor ride (2way). There are two cabanas, one for the tours, and the smaller one to the left if you’re on your own. The sandy beach facing Mazatlán is not...More

While visiting Mazatlan in October, we wanted to try a new adventure. Deer Island was a fun day where we snorkeled, swam, and explored the beach. The bathrooms were nice and the beach was beautiful!

Beach is great, snorkelling is great around the corner. The beach hut for lunch provided by El Cid for El Cid guests is great. The cruise over on the Kolonahe was really fun. Would definitely recommend!
