Spent a day touring Barra, Malachi and La Manzanilla with special lunch at Mary's Restaurant. Over the years it has always been a destination place for our first time visitors to the area. Great for walking and easily accessible.

This was kind of a long drive from our resort and only slightly worth it. There were a few shops that were a little more authentic art. One store in particular had some nice beaded work. The view along the beach was nice.

We wandered the streets checking out all the lovely little shops. Stopped for lunch & later on, dinner. Stayed later for great entertainment. Took a little boat ride over to the Grand Hotel.

That's the easiest way; what DJ wrote. You can hire a cab driver as another option. Negotiate the price. He can offer other things in addition to Barra Navidad. It's about 45 minutes each way driving there; bus may take... More
