It was a lovely rural road deep into the oaxacan tropical forest to find the Copalita River and its magical falls. You will not regret this natural environment and the cool bath as you get to the falls.

OK- so this was a crazy adventure. We didn't go on a hired trip, and instead drove our rental car there. We wore the heck out of our tiny economy rental, and looking back- getting a larger car or jeep would have been ideal for...More

Whenever we travel we always look for a waterfall and this fall was easy to get to and beautiful. We had a delicious meal after swimming for a bit.

This trip took about 6ish hours and out tour guide Joseph was very honest and said right up front that the drive would take 2.5hrs to get to the falls over some rough roads. We traveled deep into the mountain jungle and made a stop...More

The falls are beautiful but the road is quite sketchy going in and out. We had a great time and I think you should experience it but I wouldn't recommend doing it on your own- do a tour!

It is definitely worth going at least once. The drive up is a bit longer than most tour guides say but if you get a good guide talking all the way it makes the drive seem not as long. If you go, Please Please stop...More

It is so worth it going here. Absolutely beautiful. But when you do, you must choose a tour guide that goes out of their way to ensure you enjoy the best experience. We found one.

The end result is a day out of paradise but it is a long and difficult walk. Be aware. The falls are right out of the movies. And it is a sSfe trip

Hi Karen, I am not familiar with Puerto Angel, but if you read the comments on the website, others have rented a cab to get them various places. There's got to be local people that can arrange tours for you as well.
