Playa Cacaluta is my favorite beach in Huatulco. We walked in and it was an easy 40-ish minute walk. Beware though, the mosquitos are really bad (and I'm from Winnipeg, Canada - we have the worst mosquitos on the planet!), so wear bugspray if you have it. The waves are a little rough, but nothing crazy. We swam across the... More

We go by boat every year, and this is one of the most beautiful of all the bays in huatulco, it is pristine but please realize there is no vendors, bathrooms, or places to to rest or sit, it is a beach in all its glory but just the beach. If you go by boat you can use our friend... More

Stunning lost in the middle of nowhere beach with crystal blue waters and fish everywhere. A great day out with the kids.

This is the best picture ever. I love this thing. The beach looks very beckoning and I wish I could be there right now instead of this stupid school

Our group of 9 rented a private boat to take us to different bays. I'm not sure how you would access if not on a boat. This was by far my favourite beach in Huatulco. We visited during the busy Easter season, so there was a group of local families enjoying camping on the beach - I really liked this... More

One of the most stunning views. Beautiful untouched beach, areas to scuba dive and just gorgeous. Would love to visit again.

in order to get there you have to walk for 45 mins. Beach is really nice with no people (counted 7 when I was there). Note that there are no facilities except a palapa so bring water etc

Cacaluta bay has long beautiful beaches, but the sea can be too rough for swimming, and snorkelling is minimal. The hike from the car park to the water takes almost an hour, but a lot of the path is shaded. I only saw two other people all day, apart from guards at the gate

Beautiful beach, with a shape of a shell. You can only get to this beach walking. If you have a car, you can park at the end of the street and walk for about an hour through land that is part of the Huatulco National Park. I recommend to make this visit during the day (not late) take water and... More

Only accessible with boat. A long and beautiful beach in the reservate. We dived just outside the beach with Huatulco Dive Centre, fantastic experience!
