This place was an absolute thrill for my wife and I. Even to us as we have also visited other archaeological sites near coast this is a really cool way to learn about mixtecan and zapotecan history. Aso there is a trully rewarding 1 mile...More
I visited this park while birding with ornitholgist guide Cornelio Ramos Gabriel. The ruins are fascinating, and you can see dozens of HUGE iguanas, Northern Pootoo birds, as well as Boat-billed Herons and Ringed Kingfishers. Really worth the visit!!
Actually, the ruins is nothing special. But the wildlife is! During a one-hour daytime walk we have seen a lot of birds, lizards and four young armadillos! My wife was unable to resist touching two of them!
very interesting to review the ecological ruins in the park. Great opportunity to see some area birds and other wildlife. bring water as it is can be very warm with some shade. easy access to the park from the main roads.
We took a cab from Secrets to the park, although it is within walking distance of the resort. When paying the park entry fee we were asked if we would like to hire a guide and we decided that it would be a good idea....More

If it's not too late for you and you've already been.. When I was there in February I took a taxi from the taxi stand in the town - very close to the dock - and he came back for me. Most of the drivers wanted more but I'd found out before I went that a taxi should only cost me about 5 dollars each way, and I was able to find one to take me. He was there at exactly the time we'd arranged, to go back to the town.
