We booked a half day snorkeling tour with Christian. He speaks perfect english. He came to pick us up at our Airbnb in Huatulco. We went to two different snorkeling spot. Each time Christian was a great guide and watched out for our safety and our needs. We really appreciated spending the morning in his company discovering the best view spots in Huatulco. Thank you Christian and would definitely recommend.

Thanks a lot to Christian, he was very dedicated and let us know a very nice place (Rio Zimatan). You will leave Huatulco to reach rio Zimatan in a 40 minutes nice road trip. We have a lot of fun during the canyoning ! Water was good and different jumps were easy. The jump over 7 meters will be a very good reccord for us. Marina, Xavier and Julien

Spent a great day with Christian and Stephan in the Zimatan Canyon. First experience with this sport and the teenage boys loved the whole experience.
The Canyon is spectacular and Steph and Christian are very knowledgeable and conscientious guides.
Rappeled, jumped off cliffs into pools and floated down the river.
Would do it again in a minute
Highly recommended!!
VERY reasonable price!

I had a great trip with Oaxaca Expediciones to Rio Zimatan. Cristian is a very experienced and helpful guide that made this Canyoning tour a great experience. Especially for Huatulco Canyoning is a nice option to do something different and unforgettable. Also, the food at the end of the tour was excellent.

I tried posting this before - writing in English and Spanish (because Cristian is bilingual and I'm studying Spanish) but Trip Advisor denied it.

Less than 2 weeks ago, I had a wonderful 1/2 day kayaking tour around the bay near Huatulco and saw beautiful fish while snorkeling. It was a perfect day. Becuase it is low season in Huatulco, I ended up having a private tour. It was a wonderful way to mix up my time on the coast and get up close and personal with mother nature.

The staff in the "tour" office at my hotel didn't understand the idea of kayaking, let alone have anywhere to refer me. I was already aware of Oaxaca Expediciones from Trip Advisor, but wondered what they would suggest. So I went right back to my room and emailed Cristian to set up my trip.

I would definitely plan on an outing with Cristian when I return to Huatulco.

I would definitely

Totally agree with all the reviews I read before going South. We spent half aday with Cristian instead of a full one due to hurricane. What an awesome guide and an awesome canyon. We had a blast and it made our honeymoon that much more memorable. We even coached my bride into jumping off some of the smaller cliffs. Cristian made sure you felt comfortable throughout the tour. The scenery and the river were beautiful, only wish the weather had cooperated. Felt like we made a new friend by the time we were through and I would suggest this to anyone with a sense of adventure. Cristian, we will be back for the full day next time.

If you are looking for a new experience that will be remembered for a lifetime, then contact these guys. I've drifted about Mexico for the last couple of weeks, and came into Huatulco from Mexico City wanting to see something beyond the same old tourist traps and attractions. Emailing these guys was the best decision I made during my journey. Cristian (the 'Bear Grylls' of Mexico) will take you on an adventure to see a side of the country unbeknownst to most tourists.

Cristian met me at my hotel with his genial partner Ulises and then the three of us hit the road. It was about a 45 minute drive to Tonameca Canyon. Roads became dirt roads became dusty windy dirt roads through the hills. We passed through the remote farming villages of Mazunte, where wild dogs roam free hunting for food, the mango trees grow tall, and the residents speak mesoamerican over Spanish.

When we finally reached the canyon it was time to suit up, strap on a life vest, don a helmet, and jump in. I had not heard of canyoning before Oaxaca Expediciones. One minute you are scaling rock cliffs, the next you are floating down some rapids and underneath a waterfall. The beauty of the canyon, virtually untouched, makes for a very surreal experience. About halfway down the canyon, Ulises met up with us with lunch. The fresh bread with smoked salmon spread along with a cheese and meat platter was quite delicious and filling. Having refueled, we continued down the second half of the canyon, where Ulises met us again to pick us up.

After we finished canyoning, we stopped by the National Mexican Turtle Center nearby. This made for a great relaxing stop after the active morning. You can catch some shade while seeing the different local species of turtles up close and personal. Some of these guys are huge. You can also see the different generations of turtles being farmed for repopulation, ranging from the very young, to the ones about to be released. After checking out the turtles, we rounded off the afternoon snorkeling nearby in San Agustinillo.

I highly recommend that you give these guys a try. It was clear that this is not only Cristian's job, but also his passion, and it is very important to him that you enjoy the experience as much as he does. If I find myself in Huatulco in the future, I will surely be contacting him to go on another adventure.

We had Cristian pick us up at our hotel, he was there right on time with the raft strapped to the roof of a jeep. After a quick beginner class on rafting we set to go down river, it was awesome. We was well-equiped and professional, he knows what he's doing... this is not your usual sight-seeing tour-trap, you actually come out with new skills. Give him a call! info@oaxacaexpediciones.com

Had a great time on this tour, thanks Christian! Would highly recommend to everyone!
We spent the day jumping off cliffs, finding little tiny turtles, and seeing beautiful waterfalls.
At the end of the tour we were served a delicious lunch. Would definitely come again!

We (my wife and I) did the 5 hr canyoning tour. It was just the two of us with Christian our fantastic guide, and owner of the business. Christian was waiting exactly where he said, as per our emails several months before the cruise, a few meters past the end of the pier where our cruise ship docked. His English is very good and he has a great sense of humour. We drove for about 40 mins out of Huatulco into the hillsides. After parking and changing into swimming clothes we walked into the vegetation. You will need to be semi fit, as there is some walking up slopes, scrambling over boulders and logs, wading the river etc.all good fun. Some shoes that are ok for this type of activity as well as getting wet are best. I wore some cheap running shoes, the wife had sports sandals. We floated down a river which was relaxing, very scenic and cooling. We jumped off high rocks into the river and repelled down rocks into the river, very safe and controlled - more good fun. Afterwards Christian took us to a local roadside bar/snack shop where he supplied cold beers and home made light lunch, very healthy and tasty, before a quick sight-seeing trip around Huatulco.
All safety gear is supplied, bring a cap, sun screen and insect repellent, and if you have one, a waterproof camera. Christian has one and emailed photos to us later.
Very good value for money, bit of exercise, interesting and beats sitting in an air-conditioned bus and standing in cues with other tourists.
