We researched the Aventura Mundo website for an activity that combined exercise with sight seeing. The Mountain bike tour did not disappoint! We prearranged our tour for 6 adults prior to arriving in Huatulco. We were picked up by Heirberto in a passanger van and drove for approx 1 hour to Pluma Hidalgo. The scenery on the drive up was spectacular! We enjoyed some Delicious Pluma coffee then jumped on our bikes and began the decent thru coffee plantations and farm lands, following along back roads. The scenery down was even more spectacular! This tour is a great way to see the back country of Mexico as well as learn about the culture of Huatulco and surrounding areas. We plan to book another bike tour with Aventura Mundo on our return next year!

My husband and I recently moved from the states to Huatulco and in our first weeks here, we met Leah Guzman, one of the lovely owners of Aventura Mundo. I've traveled quite a bit and am always wary of “tours” but Aventura Mundo seemed different (off the beaten path style). So when the full moon was 1 day before my 31st birthday, we couldn't resist. At 6:30pm we were picked up in an open air safari style "van" and hit the road to Copalita with 10 other gringos. None of us really knew what to expect but we hopped into the raft and paddled down the beautiful Copalita River guided only by the light of the full moon (and of course our raft guide). It's about a 30-40 min raft ride and the peacefulness of the virgin riverbanks is ever calming. At the end of the tour awaits a bonfire fiesta, fine cheeses, wine/beer bar, amazing staff, and a lovely acoustic guitarist playing sweet serenades. We all came as strangers but we left singing and laughing the entire way back to Huatulco. I highly recommend this tour!

Just had a great tour on the Copalita river with my wife and two children (4&6). We were picked up promptly in the air conditioned van with raft strapped to the roof, and headed to the Iguana sanctuary. We were introduced to Mario and he showed us all the different iguanas. The kids got to hold and feed the iguanas and learned about the black and green species. You could tell how passionate he was about these lizards. Then we were driven to the river and boarded the raft and had a very scenic float down to a deeper section for a swim to cool off. Back in the raft we floated down further closer to the ocean. We were then transported to the ocean for a few pictures and a quick dip. The guide and driver were very knowledgeable and friendly. This was my children’s favourite day of our whole trip. I highly recommend this to all ages as you get to see some of the natural beauty of Huatulco that you don’t see at resorts.

Nothing better than floating the mighty Copalita River under a full moon. The complete experience from booking the trip to getting picked up where ever you are staying was very smooth. Wine, beer, cheese n crackers hit the spot when the float is completed. BOOK THE FULL MOON RAFTING!

Heriberto drove us to the top of Pluma Hildago where we stopped for a cup of the famous Pluma coffee. Then we jumped on our bikes and rode through coffee plantations as we made our descent to Santa Maria. The Views were spectacular of the back country. If you love to mountain bike and enjoy beautiful scenery you must take this tour! It was definitely the highlight of our trip to Mexico and we hope to do it again next year. Heriberto was an excellent guide with great knowledge of the area and culture.
