Santa Cruz is a very beautiful area with lots of sight seeing locations. I would concider purchasing a condo there as I feel so safe and "at home"

I suggest to visit "Cafe Huatulco" located at Santa Cruz's square , at the Kiosk. Great Coffee, so so service and high prices, but the genuine Oaxaca ambiance is equal to none

4 of us boarded a 20 ft. Run about and toured the 5 bays with Roberto. A very knowledgable boat man and a very calm operator. We we seen leather back turtles and ended up in a pod od about 200 dolphins. Awesome! Something we never experienced. Well worth the money.

There is a small beach near the cruise ship dock Plenty of beach restaurants with large seating capacity A unique beach front church where you can see the bay from the pews

We were taking a private boat excursion and were told to meet at the Santa Cruz Marina. Our cab driver didn't speak English, and he tried to drop us off at a gate that was locked. I believe it was for boat owners. We had a difficult time explaining that we needed to go to a more public area, but... More

First impression: dirty The palapas (restaurants) invaded the area and there are people aggresively inviting you to seat and try their food. The truth is that the shrimp and fish they offer come in most of the cases from farms and not from the Oaxaca's sea. Give a look to the restrooms and kitchen before ordering. The beach could be... Businesses and their employees in this area are geared toward the many cruise ship passengers who disembark at the port. Frankly, I found the vendors in the marketplace to be very un-Mexican, meaning they were rude, unfriendly and charged ridiculously high prices for goods.
