Lots of cultural and fun things to do here. Concerts and various cultural exhibits enable a tourist to really "feel' Mexico and its peoples. Some exhibits charge admission, but they were well worth it. One evening, we attended a buffet dinner while enjoying a vast array of cultural presentations! Very worthwhile!

As of January 2014, this centre was totally shut down, barricaded and clearly in need of major maintenance. A much grander entertainment and convention centre has been built in Diamante near the airport. The site may yet be used for some other purpose. It was not open to the public when we visited and walked all along the perimeter.

Do attend an event here when you are in Acapulco. There is ballet, symphony, concerts and folklorica etc. depending on when you are there but worth going.

The Acapulco music festival is held here amongst other things. They've had some great bands on here Ricky Martain, The Spice Girls To name a few good fun but get your tickets early as they sell out fast

Most of the events that used to be here are gone. Now all the events are for locals. Not for tourist. Needs a lot of maintenance.

Big and beautiful convention center. It has good air-conditioning, a big theater and some smaller salons. However the biggest room is just not prepared for visual presentations, because it is basically a big balcon with ceiling and no walls, and even when they use curtains it is not dark enough to view the screens. It has some shops in the... More
