If you are wanting to experience the culture of Acapulco, visit the Zocalo. I usually go to one of the restaurants that surround the area.

Love this place worth the walk from amazing breakfast & dinner. When I leave Acapulco, this is one place I indeed miss! Service food and value are all perfect. Excellent quality food and the best value in the city!

The vendors, cafes and restaurants surround the heart of the town. The marina is in front of the area and is a must see for visitors.

All the surroundings are full of poor people. Lack of maintenance. Dirty, a lot of poor stores.

This is a nice plaza, with a few cafes and shops where the locals gather. At the far end is a lovely cathedral. There is also a market where you can purchase handicrafts.

After 11 years of visiting Acapulco we finally went to the Zocalo. Had an excellent meal at the Italian restaurant and were entertained along the walk throughout the area later. No hassles and lots to see, shop , and do.
