It is interesting to walk around the square and look at historic buildings and people who spend time there. A good place to start exploring Mexico City!

While a zocalo is always a great place to check out the local scene in any Mexican city/town, this one is getting a bit too commercialized for it to deserve more than an average rating.

We had to walk the the park to get to the Cathedral a while back, lots of stalls and people, a lovely Rotunda, noticed the Rotundas through all of Mexico.
