This place is a good place to take your family and to fish in the evening, and experience the culture but one problem was that there needs to be a fence to keep kids from falling into the water .

I have been to Acapulco five times, beginning when I was a kid in the late 1970s. Yes, the Costera has changed. There are many more people, many more shops and the 1970s glamour is gone. Also you will see military guys driving around keeping the area safe from narcos. But I felt like it was still my old Costera... More

Let me first of all say that I am originally from the Caribbean Island of Saint Lucia, so I know the beach scene. - The sand was coarse and basically left my feet blistered - The beach was overcrowded with locals selling their wares - Im okay with selling but being CONSTANTLY bothered and bombarded with people asking you to... I stay at a resort outside of downtown largely because the beautiful beach is much more beautiful (to me) when it is not full of people, noise, vendors hawking goods, etc. Great if you like crowds. Otherwise, not so much.

The Costera is the main drag of Acapulco and it has everything that you may need! It is loaded with Restaurants, Bars, Discos, Supermarkets, Variety stores, a hug Walmart, McDonalds, Star Bucks and so much more! It is a great street for early morning walks and in the evenings when all the lights are on because it is so pretty.... More

Too many people on beach drinking, throwing garbage on beach, stranded wild dogs, drunks, people using drugs and not safe. Had condo there for 20 yrs right in the centre beside CCpark "Torre Coral"just sold it and went to sty ay BanyanTree and WOW would rather stay there ten Costera.

Lots of umbrella and chairs. Food and drinks brought to you or you can set in one of the number of restaurants on beach. Jet skiing, parachuting, nice part of the bay to walk the beach. Weekends it gets busy here with the Mexico City people. Lots of vendors selling goods, fresh sea food. Ocean drops off fast here but... More

There is so much to say about the Costera. It's the main thoroughfare through the heart of Acapulco. Your 2 feet and the Costera = unlimited possibilities. From the awesome sprawling beach to flea market like settings where you barter for what ever they are selling to fantastic restaurants and bars. Its awesome. If you like people then this is... More
