First timers in Mexico and we chose Adventure 19 as our source for daily outdoor adventures. We found them online and they did not disappoint. My wife and I chose 3 excursions - swimming with whale sharks in La Paz, Isla Espiritu Santo sea lion adventure (it is so much more than just swimming with sea lions) and sunset horseback riding on the beach in Pescadero. Every one of our trips far exceeded our expectations!! The guides were knowledgeable and filled us in on the ecological aspects around us. Words can’t describe how much fun we had! We will be back to experience more of Baja with Adventure 19.

Overall, my boyfriend and I had a great day but we felt like the trip was a bit mis-marketed. We were told that we only needed to bring sunscreen, a hat, and a camera. If we had not had our own water bottles, we would not have had anything to drink until after 1 o'clock when lunch was served. Our boat captain found us water from another group on Isla Espiritu because our trip's cooler only had soda and beer. We had to wait one hour on the boat before it was our turn to see the whale sharks. Since this took longer than expected, we did not make it to the far side of the island to the large sea lion colony. We still got to go to a small island of sea lions but this was a significant change. The boat ride was quite long and was chilly after snorkeling. I would have packed more layers had I known this. We also didn't know that we were going on a short hike on the island. Had i known, I would have worn more active sandals rather than flip flops. Still, we had a great day with many once in a lifetime experiences! Isla Espiritu was stunning-more beautiful than I expected. The sea lions are so cute and playful. The whale sarks were incredible. With some small changes (or different wording or packing suggestions), much of this could be fixed!

I saw the Adventure 19 ad in the TS promo map. I had hoped to tag along with another tour/adventure group, but it did not work out. Traveling alone can be a bit awkward when scheduling things. Rather than sulk, I got off my bum and contacted Adventure 19. I spoke to a gentleman, explained my situation, and a bit later Rachel returned my call. We went over some options, but because of a windstorm (yay) a lot of things were on hold for a few days. Which was fine. I needed a bit of lounge time. I said I'd call back. I did. And she booked me a horseback ride, an unexpectedly awesome whale watching/fishing adventure and a La Paz whale shark excursion. The booking and transaction went smoothly. I went to the location to finalize everything (and have drinks at her husband's restaurant/mezcal bar Refugio Mezcalaria). Absolutely could not have had this amazing trip without Rachel's help. The horseback ride included a meet and greet with the horses, lesson in saddling up, and how to behave/respond around these stately creatures. The guide named Dutch showed patience and great compassion for animals and gave me confidence to enjoy the ride. And little Mango, the dog at the compound will steal your heart! As will the horses. The next day, I embarked on a whale watching trip that was really more of a fishing adventure! At Punta Lobos, I boarded the (can't remember the term) boat with Ernie and Jorge. I imagined I'd be toodled around to look for whales. Boy was I surprised at the chaotic yet highly organized choreography of the fisherman's boat launch. Amazing to watch once I figured out what was happening. Once off the beach I told Ernie "I didn't know this would be a fishing trip." "Well, we're out here, we might as well fish!" And I reeled in 3 yellow fin tuna. I was exhausted. And exhilarated! And I leaned a lot about fishing. And then... the whales. Multiple sightings, great photos. A bucket list item for me. I can't even describe it.The tuna were just gravy. The following morning I drove to La Paz. A bigger town, a little more nerve racking for the solo traveler with no co-pilot. The guide's name was Andrea and Arturo the captain. I got fins and a wet suit, and set out with a group 4 unaffiliated with me. Once on the water, Andrea gave very specific instructions on what to expect, do/not do, etc. We spotted some whale sharks fairly quickly, and I have to say I got scared my first try, having spent almost zero time in big water with a snorkel. The second time, Andrea held my hand (yes, I admit it) and I kicked and pulled from the tail to the head of that gentle giant and it looked me right in the eye. And I was done! (out of energy!). Amazing, yet again. We had several more encounters but I did not jump in so as not to impede the experience of the other guests. I would do it again, but I would be more personally prepared for the water. Adventure 19 has a lot to offer and I'll return for more adventures in this treasure of a destination.

We fell upon adventure 19 on our last night in todos santos and it couldn’t have been better. Rachel set us up with an ultra last minute trip to swim with whale sharks (it was 6pm and she had a full house, but set us up for 845 the next morning, that kind of help is unmatched!). The tour turned out to be amazing and was absolutely worth the early rise. We also soon came to find that their office which doubles as a family run restaurant serves some of the best food in town (Thursdays for stuffed chiles is where you want to be). The menu changes daily and sources only the freshest produce. Their mezcal game is also extremely so make sure not to leave without trying at least on mezcalito. Our trip was great but Rachel & co really made it special. Thanks again!!!

We were 3 people on the boat with Abraham and the boat captain. We booked the 2h30 trip for whale sharks without dinner. Abraham was very respectfull of whale sharks, passionate of marine life, and worked to find areas where there was less boats and people. The crew is very respectfull and let us live our experience without treating us like tourists, which we really liked.
