This was one of the best riding experiences of my life. I am an experienced rider. I rode solo with a guide (Adelfo) on the 2 hr ride, desert and ocean. My guide Adelfo was so experienced, incredibly friendly, and so clearly compassionate and passionate about what he does and the horses he cares for. This ranch takes exceptional care of their horses. In comparison, several resorts nearby have horses walking along the beaches (without much shade or water) and the convenience factor is not worth the premium often paid. I literally walked about 8 min from my resort to this ranch and was so happy that I had gone to see their operation in person. They have a beautiful sitting area when you've finished riding. This center appears to be one of the most experienced, longest-running family owned businesses specializing with horses. The horses were gorgeous, healthy and apparently many of them perform for shows (prancing, etc.) around the entire Los Cabos area. The owner answered every call I made to make and confirm my reservation and as soon as my experience was complete, I called her back to share the joy in the service and memory. Loved our ride! I am picky about horse tours - I've ridden in many countries on many horses and was really happy to use this tour - the horses were in great shape, well groomed and independent thinkers (not pegged to the horse in front). The farm was easy to find and it wasn't too difficult to make the U turn to get to the right side of the freeway. Alejandrina was very easy to communicate with via email and Whatsapp and we were able to book our ride easily for the following day. Originally we booked the two hour canyon but decided to switch to a mixed experience which I am very grateful for - the beach was beautiful!! We started with the canyon which didn't seem to have canyon walls but we were walking next to cacti and shrubs and got to a viewpoint of the beach. Then we turned around, went through the farm and along a path including an underpass for golf carts to get to the beach. It felt super safe and the beach was so clean and blue. As an experienced rider I was given the opportunity to canter on both parts of the ride and our guide helped take photos for us at multiple spots. I would absolutely recommend this option for folks wishing for good horses and super pretty beaches.

I'd highly recommend Cuadra San Francisco for anyone looking to ride horses in Los Cabos! I've been riding for years and wanted to go out on a ride with my husband, who has never been on a horse before. We went on the one hour trail ride to the hills and had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect, being not too hot and having a refreshing breeze throughout the ride. The horses were very well cared for and my husband's mount took good care of him in turn. I was paired up with a very impressive young gelding - he was excited to be out and wanted to munch on all of the plants, but was very attentive and responsive. It was also the most comfortable saddle I have ever sat in! Our guide, Jorge, was excellent - very friendly and easy to talk to, and was very attentive to my husband's comfort. The few guided trail rides I've done in the US have been with a random group of people to fill out the ride, so being able to go on a more private trail riding "date" was a magical experience.

An excellent family owned business for both trail rides into the hills and on the beach as well as strong equestrian expertise for those who ride at home (English too) and would like the chance to ride or have a lesson with the gracious, knowledgeable owner. Our family with riders at multiple levels as well as my daughter who rides 3-4 times a week all had a great experience. If you are real horse people, this is your place! We will certainly be back to see them on our next trip to Cabo.

Upon arriving I was a little nervous because the entrance was lacking in signage. However, once I made contact with one of the employees I was instantly put at ease. The guy was cheerful and friendly as he guided us to a waiting area next to the riding arena. We waited briefly for 5-7 minutes before he came back to take us to the office to discuss our ride options. I originally booked the 1hr Beach Ride. However, the guy in the office suggested the Canyon Ride. I bit and decided to try it. I'm SO HAPPY I took his suggestion because the Canyon Ride was truly peaceful and serene. While out I had the opportunity to experience the local natural terrain and wildlife. I spotted some lizards, pheasants, and finches. The trail is well shaded and there are plenty of photo opportunities along the trail. The best one is at the top of the trail overlooking the ocean and city below. Once we returned to the stables, we had the opportunity to chat with our guide and the guy from the office. The office guy's 12 year old daughter helps tend the horses after rides and is a delight. She is very knowledgable and personable. She walked us around to meet our horses parents and shared their age, lineage and breeds. Super neat. It was very obvious to me that the owner and staff care deeply about their horses and treat them with respect. Every horse I saw looked well fed and groomed. I am so happy I was recommended Cuadra San Francisco by the butler at Palmilla. Our ride was a real highlight of our trip.

This barn is a gem - the animals are all well-fed, healthy and happy. It's a totally different way to see the area and a great, multi-generational family business to support. Don't miss the opportunity to see these beautiful and super horses and thier people!

Over two months in San Jose we rode with the gracious equestrians of Cuadra a couple times a week. We took private lessons, we rode in the hills, we rode on the beach, we road in the arroyos! We have ridden all over the world on some of the most beautifully gated and trained horses; Peru, Iceland, Hawaii, Bali, etc. These horses are truly the most exquisitely trained and treated of any we have ever ridden. The guides were experienced and careful but allowed us to ride to our ability. Valente is a champion rider and an exceptional coach. I learned so much in my handful of lessons that I am a much better rider now for the experience. We cannot wait to return next Jan/Feb and slip back into the Cuadra vibe!

Wow! Words can not describe the amazing experience we had in Cuadra San Francisco. After searching for days for a legit horseback riding experience in which one could tell the horses were well taken care off and energized, we found it! Just a small ride from our hotel, we arrived at the Cuadra and were instantly greeted and welcomed to this beautiful place that looks out of a magazine. Our tour guide, Adelfo, was amazing at explaining everything we were seeing and experiencing on our 1 hour tour. We even had the chance to gallop with our horses several times which for anyone who loves horses, is a most. Throughout the entire ride we felt like our safety was first which is important. To make things better, we had two coronas waiting for us when we got back. If you are looking for genuine, beautiful, adventurous experience with everything Mexico has to offer.... Cuadra San Francisco is your place!

My fiancé and I temporarily relocated to Cabo a little over a month ago and in search of a hobby, I started taking lessons here. It has been an overall great experience. The family and staff are kind and welcoming. The instructor and his daughters are extremely talented riders. I have learned far more than I expected to in the time that I have spent here and could not have asked for a better experience.

We’ve been fortunate to try multiple horseback riding experiences, both in the States and internationally and this place is special for sure. First of all, this is the cleanest riding experience we’ve ever seen. No smell, no flies, no mess on the ground. They also had a nice, shaded waiting area for before or after the ride or for guests that choose not to ride. Secondly, the horses we VERY well cared for. Too many times, the care and condition of the horses is poor, but not here. Every horse looked amazing and they paired them very well for each type of rider. Lastly, the team at Cuadra was first class. Both the owners and staff were extremely helpful before during and after our ride. We had a large group, so the communication with booking and directions was very helpful. The team that took us out for our ride was LOTS of fun. Even after we were finished, some of the kids left clothes behind and the their team worked with us to pick it up later. I highly recommend Cuadra San Francisco the next time you’re in Cabo.
