About
Take the best tour in Loreto aboard the WANTOSEA glass-bottom boat, comfortably cruising the waters around Isla Danzante in the Loreto Bay National Marine Park. Boasting 42 sq ft of underwater viewing area and a swim ladder that almost anyone can climb, the WANTOSEA glass bottom boat provides you a relaxing and unique way to see a variety of marine life – from the comfort of your seat. It’s common to see many kinds of local fish, dolphins, whales, manta rays, sea turtles, ospreys, blue-footed boobies, and more. For those that want to swim, each trip includes at least one snorkeling / beach stop. The tour includes fresh and healthy snacks, lunch, drinks, use of snorkel equipment, and a knowledgeable and friendly crew. The Wantosea does NOT have restroom facilities. The beaches we stop at do NOT have restroom facilities. There are plenty of places to relieve yourself if you have an adventurous spirit. :) We have daily tours, however reservations are required. Each trip is unique!

Five family members enjoyed this glass bottom boat tour. Mike, our tour guide, and Tim, the builder and owner of the boat, we great hosts and made this trip memorable. The highlight of the trip was the encounter with dolphins. We were able to observe the dolphin feeding and then later they came to the boat and almost appeared to be playing with us. A great memory!

Thank you! We love having families on board, it often makes for the memory of a lifetime. Several regular guests we know bring their friends and family every year, they tell us it is the best way they know for new visitors to really get to see the variety of life that exists here in the Sea of Cortez. Look forward to seeing you and your family again!

Great Company. Mike and Umberto were great. We had a wonderful day . They were very tolerant of our 8 and 10 year old boys and there were two other younger children. Everyone had a great experience. We saw three pods of Dolphins. Fun family adventure.

This trip was incredible. The captain guided this wonderful glass bottom boat within inches of coral and rock and never scraped bottom. The snack food was home made and all very good. A must do in Loreto.

This was our second trip with LCE this season and was nothing short of spectacular. We had booked wantoparty for the first trip and were rescheduled a few times due to high wind and waves. When we finally did attempt the trip, the weather didn't co-operate and had to return early but Mike of LCE contacted us and sent us out the next day on wantosea. We toured Isla Coronado and saw the sea lions and pods of dolphins. The next trip was on wantoparty and spent 2 1/2 hours following a pod of 5 finback whales. It was almost surreal to be so close to such a large and magnificent animal. Mike was very accommodating and worked with us to make this a fantastic experience. I cannot recommend these tours highly enough.

Thank you for taking 2 tours with us! I'm glad we could get you out on the water twice. Weather is always our biggest challenge during whale season. We do work hard to accommodate our guests.
We are so glad you had a fantastic experience, and highly recommend our tours!

My husband and I highly recommend the Glass Bottom Boat tour when in Loreto! You are bound to have a great time! We plan to do the trip our next visit because each one we know will be a whole new experience in what we see and the people we meet and spend the experience with!
Mike was our guide and Adrian our Captain! They were a great team together working to make our experience a good time and getting us in areas to discover what life was out and about that particular day!
We had dolphins and sea lions along side the boat! Blue footed boobies, pelicans and seagulls flying and diving all around. Under the boat you can clearly and comfortably see the marine life go by!
Mike was very enthusiastic and excited like it was his 1st time out, sharing his knowledge of the different types of fish and marine life we came across and stories of what was discovered on other excursion he had been out on.
Mike is very welcoming and genuinely wants to make everyones trip a great one! He missed nothing on making sure our needs were met, our bellies were full and he was on a constant lookout for all the sightings possible that day!
Adrian and Mike worked well together to make a flawless trip happen for us all. A definite job well done! It's not easy to get a group together and ensure all have a great time, but these guys can pull it off quite well! Thank you Mike and Adrian!
Oh, I can't forget to mention the FOOD!
Smoked Yellow Fin(made by team), mango chile chutney(made by team), fresh fish salad sandwich(made by team), a beautiful organic salad from their garden with lots of goodies in it, desert, drinks, fresh fruit of different types! They nailed it!! It's my hope they can continue on for many years because those at Want To Sea Excursions are a huge asset to Loreto and the people that have an opportunity to get out and have some fun with these people!!
Thanks again for a well spent afternoon aboard the great built boat by Tim, Mikes friend who asked him to come to Loreto and be apart of his vision of what Loreto needed! A Glass Bottom Boat!! Yahoooo! Best of luck continuing to bring people a great time! See you next year we hope!

My group did the glass bottom boat tour on Monday of our stay and had such a great time that we came back and did a tour on the Wanttoparty on Friday. Don’t know which was better. Mike got so excited with sightings that we all got excited. Two great days on the water. You just don’t see the best of Loreto unless you get out on the Sea of Cortez!

Thank you! So cool that you tried both tours. Wantoparty offers range and options that Wantosea can't match, but as you said, both offer great days on the water.

A group of 7 of us rented the wantoparty boat to experience whale watching and island time. The 8 passenger boat was perfect for us! Honestly, I've never been on a cleaner boat. It looked brand new and had comfortable padded seating. The captain was so friendly and inviting. He found us several whales and then gave us some time on an island beach to relax. Nice mix of beverage options, but we really appreciated the food! We were served incrementally throughout our day with fresh fruit, gourmet snacks, and fresh wahoo salad sandwiches on the beach. So good! It was not your typical basics. Very nice touches! We opted to be picked up directly on the beach of our hotel, which was another fantastic move by this company...made it so easy and hassle free. Highly recommend!

All of our boats re meticulously maintained and feature lot's of shade, comfortable seats and sturdy ladders. Thank you again for highly recommending our tour!

This whole trip was amazing! Through the glass bottom we were able to see 100's of fish! Probably 20-22 different species, not to mention the whole sea bottom. Also saw many, many birds including the Blue-footed Boobies. Saw many dolphins and sea lions. Our guide Lucio and the boat captain were both knowledgeable and kind. Mike, the fellow who arranged the whole trip via email was also great. If you are in Loreto you must try this. We took the private tour on "Wannapeek" and it was worth every dollar.

Humberto did a great job taking us to Coronado Island in Loreto. He pointed out the different fish we saw thru the glass bottom boat. It was amazing to see all the sea life from the boat. We saw turtles, manta rays, dolphins, sea lions, and fish; it was a an amazing trip. We also had a chance to snorkel, and swim in the water. We went to a beautiful aqua crystal clear beach and walked on the beach and had lunch. Thank you for amazing day!!!!! We will tell all our friends to go.

I wasn't actually able to take the glass bottom boat tour due to it being closed down as a result of Covid when I was visiting Loreto, but I wanted to comment and give a great review to the owners simply because of their willingness to provide me with added information and Tim went out of his way to respond to my questions and provide me advice about the area even though he couldn't take me out on his tour. The next time I come to Loreto Tim Yarbrough's glass bottom boat and/or fishing trips will certainly be on my list of activities. Thanks Tim for your helpful and friendly text exchanges last week proving me with answers to my questions about your services and other Loreto-area questions I had. I really appreciate your willingness to help!

will be in Loretto on 16. Jan for 1 day only; traveling by boat and will be in marina. can we get tickets for 2 adults for morning tour, what is cost per person, and can we get refund if our schedule changes? thank you!
Hello,
The glass bottom boat tour is weather dependent, so today there is no way I can assure you a tour on Jan 16. If you can contact me from our website, I can notify you about a week before if we will be having a tour that day.
Thanks!
Mike
What is the cost for a 1/2 day rental?

You don’t rent it, you pay for an excursion. I think it is $95 a person. Info is on their website.
what is the cost for a 1/2 rental?
Hello, thank you for your interest in our company.
I can't answer your question though, we have several boats available for rental. Best idea is to visit our website (wantosea), all prices are listed there.
Thanks!

Coming in February 2017 what is the cost ? We will be on a azamara cruise so how far of a taxi ride will it be ?

The price is US$95 per person. There may be a cash discount. I don't know where the cruise ship docks, but if it's the Marina in Loreto town it's about 30 minutes away. Some smaller ships dock right in Puerto Escondido, in which case the glass bottom boat departs right from there.
Taxis in Loreto are quite expensive--it may be $50 each way from Loreto town. It may be worth renting a car, as there are car rental facilities close to the Marina.
An alternative is to hire a panga right from the Marina and take a boat ride to Coronado Island where you can do snorkeling, and check out a sea lion rookery. It will probably be cheaper, but the boat will be smaller and you will see more above water than below. But it's also very nice. All you need to do is approach one of the boat owners and negotiate a price. Maybe around $100 for a boat that can hold up to 6 people.

Hi there, We are coming to Loreto in September. This excursion looks amazing. I currently use a walker. Would it be possible for me to take this trip? We did the sunset cruise with Wild Loreto last year and that was fine. Let me know. Thank you! Cheers, Cheryl

Hello Cheryl, as the others mentioned, we will most certainly assist you to board and debark the vessel safely. We designed WANTOSEA with this in mind. If you let us know when book your tickets, we will reserve the seat closest to the front for you. Your walker will need to be stored in your car for safe keeping, There is little room for larger items.

Our prices are on the website, and change from time to time depending on season. Currently adult price is 75 dollars and children are 55 dollars. This includes the marine park pass, snacks, lunch and drinks throughout the 4 hour cruise around Danzante Island.
