This trip was years in the making. Once we had the opportunity to visit Loreto for a family reunion, I wanted to tag on a sea kayaking trip. We took Paddling South's 5 night/6 days Coast and Islands expedition in March of 2021. Jorge and Antonio were the best! We loved being guided by them and felt very safe. They were always explaining things - what we were seeing, what we were going to do next, how weather and sea conditions were dictating our plans, local culture, flora and fauna, etc. There was so much gear involved with paddling and camping they kept it all sorted. And the food was a very pleasant surprise. We had delicious home cooked food that was typical of the local environment. The guides kept pulling things out of the kayaks and whipping up elaborate meals for us that were just what we needed for our appetites after being outside paddling and exploring all day. Waking up in our chilly tents to fresh-made coffee and a hot breakfast was the best way to start our days! COVID precautions were strictly followed from start to finish and they even took us to the labratorio to have our pre-flight home COVID tests done.

just completed a great 10 day (9 night) kayaking trip down the coast of baja california south of Loreto with Sea Trek/Paddling South. Our guides Antonio and Adrian were very well organized, and good at keeping us informed of weather conditions and how the weather was influencing our trip. food was very fresh, varied and delicious (and plentiful) and included in some cases fresh fish that they had just caught by spear fishing. A couple of suggestions if you do the trip... the packing list provided is generic and covers a range of months and weather conditions - in early november the temperature never went below 70f even at night so we mostly got by with a couple pair of shorts and shirts (not necessarily the case in January...). so check the weather forecast for loreto and pack accordingly. Also, while the trip is from Loreto to La Paz - you drive the first third and last third, kayaking in our case was less than 100 miles (agua verde to puenta coyote)

Our group of 8 mature males spent 6 days in the Sea of Cortez in March of 2019. The weather was perfect and the quality of the guided kayaking experience was four star. The equipment, the training for kayaking, and the goodnatured professionalism of our guides was exemplary. We were treated to intimate encounters with dolphins, pelicans, turtles, a wide variety of bird life, and a blue whale. The snorkelling was as good as I have had anywhere. We also had a lot of pure relaxation and good food. I would go again in a heartbeat.

OMG! I would do this trip with theses people(Paddling South/Loreto Kayaking) again in a heart beat! Amazing guides, tasty food, fabulous beaches, fabulous scenery and just plain great paddling! We may have had a couple of not nice paddling day with wind and waves, but so worth every moment and they made it seem like no big deal! They take care of you and your safety! They run a very good trip! I went solo and paddled my own boat, which I am grateful that they allowed me to do it! Jorge, Antonio and Helena are great hosts and guides! We had just a nice number 10 guest, 3 guides. I can not recommend them highly enough! I will totally paddle with them again! I consider them to be family! If they ever get to Northern Alberta, they know they have a place to stay! So grateful to have chosen them!
