My wife & I booked the tour of Coronado Island (ended up being a private tour). Luis our "Captain" showed off his local expertise with an informative narration about the fauna & geologic history of the island. Turns out it's an extinct volcano island which is home to Sea Lions, migrating Blue footed boobies & Ospreys. A school of Spinner Dolphins showed off their acrobatic skills at the bow of our boat & playfully splashed us a couple of times! The included lunch was delicious & thoughtfully catered to our gluten allergy. Snorkeling equipment is included (water was too cold!) As we circumnavigated the island Luis recalled stories from his grandfather fishing exploits. Unfortunately no Blue Whales to be seen due to colder temps this year. Still an unforgettable experience & must do when in Loreto.

We used Wild Loreto tours for our transportation to and from the airport to Villa del Palmar, Islands of Loreto. The vehicle pickup was hassle-free both from the airport and back to the airport. The drivers were friendly and courteous. We had a very interesting trip back to the airport from VDP with Mario, who is also a WL tour guide. He gave us a quick history and tour of the Baja California Sur area on our way to the airport and we found him very engaging and easy to talk to. He encouraged us to think about taking one of his tours the next time we are in Loreto - and we will!

Transportation. This company is the most unsafe and unethical company I have ever dealt with in my travels. You have to use them to book transportation to and from the airport to villa del palmar. When I arrived at the airport I was told that they were waiting on 6 other people which totaled 8 people in a van when I was told that there would be no more than 4. When I told them this was not safe the person told me oh no mam just waiting for four people and then proceeded to put six more people on the transportation. I was told that I could ride separately for $15 more dollars but would have to wait and so I looked at hiring a taxi but they would only take cash. This company is not concerned about Covid safety and when confronted with the fact will lie to you. I told villa del palmar about this unsafe condition and they did nothing about it. I learned in my return transportation back to the hotel that there would once again be 8 people in the car and we would be departing the hotel 12:45 which is four hours and 15 minutes before the flight when I told them that the number and the amount of time having to spend at the airport in one closed room with a bunch of people they told me I could leave later but would have to pay $50 usd In Order to do so. This is the most unethical and unsafe company ever. DO NOT USE them find or hire another option for your transportation if you want to be safe.

We had a fabulous time whale watching with the tour group Wild Loreto in Jan 2023. So many great things from them:
1. They were punctual both on our trip to the Pacific side, and on our way home.
2. The van itself with spotless and part of the fun of this adventure was meeting all of the other people from across other states & countries.
3. Our guide was very attentive and stopped frequently for snacks and potty breaks, and was also incredibly knowledgeable of the area to make the drive go faster.
4. THE WHALES!! So many beautiful whales, and an experience like no other. Our guide went with us on the boat, and made sure that the captain was very courteous to the whales: keeping a safe distance, not going too fast around them, and giving us time to just take it all in.
5. Water, soft drinks, and lunch in town were provided.
I highly recommend this tour, and my understanding is that February is the best month to go over to the Pacific side - but January it was pretty amazing!

My family and I did the Island Catamaran Tour. It was awesome! We were picked up at our resort and taken to a marina where the captain met us. On the way to our first snorkel spot a pod of dolphins happened upon us. Over 100 dolphins swam alongside the boat. An amazing experience! At the first snorkel spot we were lucky enough to spot a stingray. The second spot was in a smaller, more enclosed area. I preferred this spot for snorkeling. We saw many different fish, several starfish, and a huge eel. After snorkeling we were treated to some delicious salsa, quesadilla, sandwiches, and bean burritos. Captain was right, Max makes the best margaritas!

We had hoped to get a whale watch adventure closer to our resort, Villa Palmar Loreto, but were instead booked to Adolfo López Mateos in order to ensure that we saw whales.

From the moment that Mario drove up and greeted us its became a 100% amazingly happy day.

The 1.5 hour ride there through the desert mountains and plains revealed magnificent views ~ and Mario gave us a side bird watching tour and history lesson about Cortez.

The whale watch did not disappoint as we saw over 50 grays, including one that swam right against the boat.

Lunch afterwards before the return back did not disappoint ~ excellent fish & shrimp (beef available upon request).

Thanks again, Mario!

Splendid morning snorkeling tour at Danzante and Carmen Islands. Captain Christopher knew excellent spots for maximum fish and general beauty (the two places we anchored were also distinctly different from each other). Comfortable boat, sandwiches and refreshments provided. Bonus: a big group of dolphins played around the boat and surfed in our wake on the drive back to the mainland. We are already planning our return to Loreto, and Wild Loreto will be a part of it.

We utilized Wild Loreto for our airport transportation to & from Villa Del Palmar. Chalio, our driver, was super friendly, drove safely & made the 30min drive amazing with a tour of town & answered any questions we had. He also hosted a fishing trip for other guests we met & they had the best experience catching 10 yellowtail, then enjoying fresh sashimi.

We will be coming back, asking for Chalio directly, and booking a fishing trip.

Wild Loreto, for a Panga fishing trip is perfect. They will pick you up at your hotel beach if accessible which let's you start fishing quickly. The gear was great, the boat well maintained and clean and Captain Umberto was awesome!
We fished in four different spots trying different techniques, yielding six yellow tails! Umberto worked hard to help us catch fish.
Will go out again with Umberto!
