Chalio was our point of contact. He was great at making recommendations and even provided snacks and lunch for us. He made sure we had beer and margaritas too. He got us set up with a really great Captain/ Fisherman, Indy on The Cracker Jack boat. We had the most amazing experience seeing about 40 dolphin near Coronado Island and had fresh catch Dorado made into sashimi on the most beautiful beach!! We got to swim in crystal blue water. My favorite excursion ever!!

Luis from Wild Loreto took us on a tour up to Mulege Mission. He gave us a very detailed tour along the way stopping at many beaches. It was a great time and he hooked me up with the freshest clams! Yum!!!

I realize activities are just opening up again so taking that into consideration I was disappointed. Transportation to and from VDP was excellent. Our captain was good but spoke limited English. I see from reading that most tours have an assistant, ours didn’t but it was just the two of us. The boat was a huge disappointment. There must have been a fuel leak because the smell of fuel was horribly strong and was as making us ill. When we got to Coronado we couldn’t walk on the beach because of COVID. Ok, but it would have been nice to know in advance. We snorkeled and that was great but then it came time to get back in the boat that was difficult. The ladder they had was a homemade ladder that was horrible. It was very narrow, the rungs were round so it was hard to stand on and the worst part was there were no things on the end that made it stand out from the side of the boat. When you are trying to climb up a ladder on the side of a panga that isn’t very vertical and there is nothing to grab onto but the gunnel it isn’t easy for many. I couldn’t get up. The captain had to put the boat sideways to the beach in order for me to get on. I suggested I step on the cooler, as I had done on previous tours, but I don’t think think the captain understood. When we left that beach and went to the next we saw that none of the boats were beaching so I knew I wouldn’t be able to get back on the boat if I got off to snorkel again. So...we had the captain take us back. The captain was worried he had done something wrong. That wasn’t the case. Honestly the boat was the problem. I’ve been on many tours by boat in the Loreto area so I know what to expect. This boat was sub-par.
