It was the highlight of our trip! Dani and Charlie were outstanding. Professional and cared about the marine life, no rush, good food, and asked the group what we wanted to do. Thank you!

As an avid Freediver and Spearfisherman, I’ve been all over the world diving the oceans, and Baja is one of the best places to go for its rugged beauty and challenging spearfishing. I have been exploring Baja waters with BACO since they first started- and I’ve watched their business grow and flourish in LaPaz. The owner Patrick is an expert spearfisherman and guide- and a great guy. Also Luis is an amazing spearfisherman and guide- and just an all around great human being. My friends and I travel to LaPaz at least once a year on a guided trip with BACO and every year we have an amazing time. They are also stewards of the ocean so it’s not just about killing as many fish as possible- but to take a few fish for meals and leave the ocean as untouched as possible. This year I switched gears and went on a Whale Shark tour with BACO in December and we were able to swim with at least half a dozen Whale Sharks. Our guide Eric was friendly and knowledgeable about the behaviors of these beautiful fish- and how to approach them without disrupting the delicate ecosystem we were entering. I highly recommend a trip with BACO- whether spearfishing is your passion- or just a day trip to swim in the waters around LaPaz- they will make it the highlight of your vacation!

Have to say that this company does not dissapoint we had been here in September and really wanted to see the whale sharks, so we came back in December and booked with Claudia and as always she handled it all with our transportation and excursion. We got Christian as our guide and he was awesome explained a lot and was able to get my wife and I some pastries while we waited our turn to go in and see the gentle giants of La Paz. Once we got into the shark area we were lucky enough to have some large ones around about 25 ft, Christian was an awesome guide telling us when to get in the water and where the Sharks were, he even got some great footage of us swimming with them, that service was provided if you get the private boat which I highly recommend. This was no doubt one of our bucket list items and BACO makes it better. The wait was not that long and the water is Beautiful. Boats and gear in great shape. I would recommend getting there very early if you are going out so you can be first in line also the coffee shop right next to baco is awesome and opens pretty early. Also BACO has some really nice gear that is pretty unique as well.... Well hope you enjoyed the pics attached..... See you soon BACO

Highly recommend the extended tour with the sea lions and beach lunch. It was a beautiful day of being with whale sharks, snorkeling with sea lions and delicious relaxing picnic on one of the most breathtaking beaches. We had a knowledgeable marine biologist guide and were never rushed. One member of our group had a family death the night before having to cancel and the company was nice giving a full refund. I also love that they have the nicest boats and keep their groups small. There were 5 of us.

We booked a private whale shark tour for our party of 4 on Dec 29th and it was the highlight of our two weeks baja vacation. Our whale shark guide Dante and Captain Eric were knowledgable, hospitable, and SUPER fun. Our group was a little late, so our wait time to see the whale sharks was 2 hours--no problema! We killed time by snorkeling with sea lions and swimming in clear water coves near Playa Balandra! Once it was our turn to swim with whale sharks, we returned to the protected area and saw two within 30 minutes! Dante was an expert at spotting them and we felt safe in the water with him under his direction. We swam our hearts out and it was the most majestic experience ever. Tips: earlier you arrive the earlier your boat gets in line to see the whale sharks, bring layers for the boat (it is windy and wet!), have some dromamine on the boat in case of sea sickness
