Baja Pirates provides for an incredible fishing experience in the sea of Cortez. From the time you arrive in Mexico until you are dropped off for your return flight you can afford to be worry free, they take care of everything. My ride was waiting for me at the airport and they were waiting for me when I arrived on site, getting me settled in and ready for fishing. The guides are fabulous, as a flyfisher I required some special attention from the guide (which was provided) and caught many large fish. The guide provided opportunities I wanted and suggested others. Aside from the fishing, BP provided for my every comfort and need. Had great suggestions for my "off" days, provided breakfast daily and were just nice people ready to give me the information I needed to have a more complete La Paz experience. I have flyfished for 35 years with more than 15 different organizations, BP is the best by any measure.

What can I say other than fantastic! Baja Pirates has the best customer service hands down. Our family of four booked with Baja Pirates last minute when a reservation at another location did not work out. They assisted us in every way to get us set up with lodging and fishing. LaLa and Gabriel are absolutely the nicest and most helpful people ever. They went way, way above expectations and even went out of their way to assist my wife and me with finding a location so we could renew our wedding vows (including driving us and playing photographer!). They helped us set up snorkel trips, dinners, you name it. They even gave us an extremely thoughtful wedding gift when we were checking out to return home. LaLa and Gabriel cared so much about us and really wanted everyone in our family to have a great experience and we did! The fishing was outstanding. We fished two days with Captain Memo who was very kind and an excellent fisherman. We caught several Dorado and my wife landed her first Marlin. The boats are very well maintained, new and very clean. All of their captains are very experienced. As part of the package the fish are cleaned, packaged and frozen for the trip home. We stayed at The Marina Hotel. The hotel also has excellent customer service. The restaurant hotel is good and a breakfast is included each morning with your stay. The breakfast buffet is very, very good with a large variety as well as made to order items such as huevos gusto, hot cakes, bacon and etc. I strongly recommend booking with Baja Pirates. I am now a lifelong customer. I would never consider going anywhere else.

Another great springtime trip on the books with Baja Pirates of La Paz. A big thanks to Leonard, Lala, Gabriel and the BP Crew. From the newly renovated Marina Hotel to the excellent fishing for yellowtail, grouper and snapper, this trip was an A+. We even got an early season dorado.

Awesome trip! My girlfriend and I scheduled a trip that hit in the middle of the COVID-19 lockdown. Baja Pirates (Leonard) was extremely accommodating and allowed us to reschedule twice. A big thank you! We took the leap of faith and went to La Paz 10-16 March 2021. And, it was a great experience. We fished 3 days and brought 50 lbs of yellowtail, grouper and snapper home. It tastes great! They filet, vacuum seal and freeze the fish, so it is ready to take home. Our skipper was Memo and we suggest you ask for him as your skipper. We plan to go back in November and will ask for Memo. He finds the fish. Gabriel was our escort who drives you from the hotel to the launch area and back. He also facilitates in getting your COVID test and provides you details of the town of La Paz. Wow, the fish tacos are A+ along with the breakfast at the hotel. We stayed at the Marine Waterfront Hotel and the water views were beautiful. LooLoo is a partner, runs the Baja Pirates shop at the hotel and makes sure your hotel stay is pleasant. Yep, you get to know everyone. In summary, you have to give it a try... best trip ever and we look forward to visiting again in November! John & Leigh.
