They had a mini carnival set up for kids the night we were there. Mainly locals - or maybe tourist from the mainland. Perfect spot to get an ice cream and walk along the waterfront and people watch.

The Malecon is a great walk in La Paz, on the water, good to watch the sunset. People watching, right in the middle of all the restaurants and sites.

On both the La Paz and Isla Mujers malecons, there are some incredible statues to see. Some are graceful and some even humorous. Sitting on the malecon wall while enjoying a delicious Mexican ice cream cone is a wonderful way to pass an evening. People...More

We walk the malecon every day with our dogs. It's so beautiful, peaceful and it's fun the watch the occasional porpoise that come in the harbor to play.

I enjoyed the malcontent because I went for walks everyday and it was always excellent, particularly at sunset. I took many photos and enjoyed sipping a coconut while sitting there.

We enjoyed all the statues on the ocean side, and the restaurants and shops on the inland side. Definitely spend some time walking along the whole thing--very friendly people, no pushy vendors or anyone unpleasant. We've been in places where shopkeepers are really aggressive to...More

The Hotel Blue is where we stayed, the room was very reasonable and included breakfast. It was a couple of blocks from the Malecon. If you are looking for a tour operator, I can highly recommend VIP. Enjoy!

Balandra Beach--our favourite--less than half an hour from la Paz by car. Other beeches right in the city, at either end of Malecon.
