Nice plaza that will sometimes have local vendors selling items from the area. Most souvenir shops in La Paz have the same items so its nice to fine different items.

Peaceful park to relax across from the Cathedral. The gazebo and replica of Balandra's "Mushroom Rock" are the plaza's features. A popular spot for local chess players.

Rather average place when you do not know the story of the monument. In fact, there is a fountain but no water. We were there at Sunday noon but it was nobody around.
All in all, nothing worth going up there.

The now man supported rock was interesting, but that it was now artificially held up took the attraction away a lot. go to the bluff cliffs above for a fantastic sunset view and a view the area. it is an easy walk with huge fringe benefits.

Average Mexican central plaza ... not really much activity for a Saturday when I was there :(
These plazas are generally quite buzzing and a center of activity ... not the case in La Paz BCS I guess.
