Once you sit on the deck to enjoy the view and the silence, the experience itself is to be there. Like many other vineyards, hard to find (because we were looking "villa montefiori" and the sign on the entrance reads "paoloni"), but worth the trip. As you can tell by the picture, you feel like living on a paint. Nevertheless, we were there for the wines and we got some surprises: from a aged Nero d'Alba (I know, right?) to a Aglianico, this italian-ish experience in México sounds like heaven.
The only reason I didn't grant the 5 stars is because of a poor service.
Besides that, marvelous.

What a gem! As you pull up to the property, you pass mature olive trees and vineyards which are an anchor of the region. Their breezy open air tasting room is nestled in the hills overlooking sweeping views of the Valle. Tastings here take a little longer than the standing quick-tastings in California's wine regions, but for all of the very best reasons:
1. They will feature 4-5 wines per tasting, and
2. They haven't quite mastered the "tasting pour". It's a healthy portion that may take some time to enjoy!
For this reason, you and your friends are seated comfortably on a modern open-air porch, where you can take in the beautiful views of the Valle. The tasting room manager, Gloria, is a beautiful and articulate wine aficionado, who guides you attentively through the tasting experience without rushing your enjoyment. I feel as if I am visiting a friend's home when I am here.
Award-winning wines in a variety of expressions are featured. It is also interesting to note that the wine maker himself (who frequently appears in the tasting room) immigrated from Italy, and transplanted vines from his home region to start the vineyard.
This is a permanent stop on all of my Valle adventures. Thank you all so much for what you do!

As many of te Valle de Guadalupe winery, you will enjoy a decent wine, the medium are average wine, and the premium are decent. They are investing to grow and give a better option to enjoy your experience. I will suggest to wait a little, if it’s your second or third visit, and you know about wines you won’t find something extraordinary, but it’s something that won’t regret. If it’s your first visit, maybe won’t give you want your expecting.
To the winery I recommend them to continue improving, in service, and options to try in the winery. As a personal opinion I like your wine, but need to improve in the tasting room experience.

We were told that this place has the best wines in the region and I would have to agree. All of the wines are of Italian varietals and very delicious.

We have been in Ensenada a few times, this time we ventured out and we found this gem!! This was our first visit to a tasting room (wife is not really in to wines) the young man that was serving us was attentive and knowledgeable he made us feel welcome. The view from the new tasting room was amazing. Their wines to my surprise were excusite I did not care much for their Chardonnay (I preffer red wines) but their Red's are pretty good specially their Sangiovese that is very easy to drink!! The Nebbiolo and the Nerone are big bold wines. I appreciate the local cheese as well. We will definitely have to visit when we go back!!
