Well designed aviary where you are very close to the birds some of which are free to fly around you. The display is professional yet natural. I spent more than an hour and a half there and could have spent more. It's located in Baru...More

My traveling companion is an avid bird-watcher, so visiting the Aviario Nacional was particularly fascinating for her. I enjoyed seeing native South American birds, such as the toucan, up-close. The environments within the walk-in cages reflect the natural environment of the featured birds, and there...More

It seems most the birds have been rescued from zoos, and their new home is like a 5 star hotel. Nice place to spend a couple of hours. If you speak Spanish the 3:30 show is worth catching.

Great selection of birds kept in there natural habitat. Great for nature photo shots. Good place to bring children. Bring water and a hat.

I really enjoyed this and was pleasantly surprised by it. It was a big place with lots of different birds in natural surroundings. Like a bird safari park.

I have seen many exotic birds in small cages at zoos, but this place offered nice free areas and large enclosures where needed - the harpy eagle, for example. There was a large enclosure for tanagers that was open for the birds to fly around,...More

As we stayed in Cartagena, we wanted to see some firests , birds and plants typical of Colombia. They told us about this new parc that has opened 2 years ago. The experience was amazing. Everything is constructed in a way to fit the natural...More

It is well sign posted on the main road. The first birds we saw were spectacular parrots able to fly free but about for the free corn. And the show of birds continued. Disability friendly. The paths are flat. The birds are everywhere. We went...More

This was the first time and this bird sanctuary. We were expecting to see more birds and someone who could have given us a tour and have explained the types of birds they have. However, we were a little disappointed because there aren’t that many...More

I highly recommend a visit here. Especially enjoyed the tropical bird enclosure. Never had such close interactions with these creatures. We hired a taxi for the day to take us here. It’s about 50 minutes out of Cartegena. Combined with lunch and beachtime a nearby...More

Very great place to go to. There are quite some birds to see and the park is very well maintained and organized. For Columbia, it is quite surprising. Nice spectacle. The bits are very “accessible” depending on their dangerousness or risk of escape. Definitely worth...More

I was pretty skeptical about this attraction, but it is simply incredible, both the variety of birds and the wonderful settings they have created for them, we stayed for hours- it is simply a gem.

Our hotel travel office offered to arrange a driver to take us out there, but we just ended up having the front desk manager arrange for one of the hotel's taxis to take us out and back. It was easier and cheaper.
