This is a small L shaped, partially covered pedestrianised shopping arcade, with two entrances, one along the seafront road linking up with the other on the main street.

It is lined with shops and stalls filled with tailors, clothing, handbags and a vast array of other stuff all aimed at the tourists. All the shop and stallholders, have a spiel, that they reel off, best quality, best price and best everything else, gets a bit monotonous. Northing here us any better or different to the other plethora of shops, stalls and markets in Ao Nang.

There is also a 'live music bar', Boogie Bar, with indoor and outdoor seating. We walked by one evening, the music was most certainly live and very loud.

The most notable feature of the Street is the large statue of Statue of Roman Warrior, a photo opportunity.

Muslim friendly but everything there is over-priced . food is easy to get . we stayed at Ao nang all season beach resort which is just across the road from the beach . rooms and service were good . staff are averagely friendly . if you stay in Ao Nang , never take the tuk-tuk or taxis to the street shops as walking is the easiest and cheapest way to reach there . tuk-tuk charged us 30B per person . if you want to go to the island ( we were at the 4 islands ) emerald pool and hot springs - go and pay high price for those trips n come back and you may say - perhentian n redang (in terengganu malaysia ) is far more beautiful place - food is expensive but you can try the pan cake ( by the beach is cheaper ) average price per pan cake is 40B , add more savoury you pay more . normal fried rice 80B , drinks too are expensive 40-50 0r even 60B but at the street stalls , fried rice 60B, watermelon juice 30B which is cheap but the challenge is - cleanliness is a question.everthing is over-priced and over-rated but for muslim travellers - one thing is good - halal food is every where .

Strange Roman attire statue in this shops lined stores. If you like to huzzle and bargain you come to the right place. Clothing, watches, bags, souvernir, cups, handicraft, Tee shirt, short, swimming gear and wear, tour agencies, restaurant, Tatoo palor, massage palor 300 baht for one hour, ...... and if you are lucky at the right time at night you catch glimpse of a few ladyboys dressed lavish and sexy standing on the sidewalk. This is a much tone down area compared to Patong beach but suffice to empty out your billfold.

The street is quite interesting, with a lots of shops and food.

I was staying in Mercure Krabi(not recommended),is at the starting of the walking street. There is a lot of great hotel and resort which is in the street.

I went there with 10 friends.I do suggest to rent a scooter to the streets, each of it is around 200baht for 24 hours. The parking is all around the street,is very convenient to park your motorbike(not for car,car is around 1400baht per car for 5pax).

All along the street there is restaurant ,spa , convenient shops ,tesco ,starbuck ,Mcd (with pork burger which is GREAT) and etc.

For the clothing price is around 150+-baht,shorts around 300+-baht.

Hope these information will helps you during the trivel.

cheers^^

Just walk around and have a look. The things here are way too pricey. The only thing that we bought was a 5L dry bag which cost us 250 baht. Which was the cheapest we could find after walking the whole area. I can get some of the things way cheaper back in Singapore. Even if you try to bargain, the most they will cut the price is by 50baht. But its a handy place if you are in dire need of extra clothings.

must disagree with some posts on the town centre being boring. Spent the evening here last night, had a great seafood dinner on Seafood Street, then a couple of bars on Walking Street. The live music was some of the best we've had the pleasure of being entertained by. I will agree some of the prices are slightly high for the area, but shop around.. No, all in all a very enjoyable evening, don't be put off by some of the negative comments here.

As mentioned in earlier reviews, Walking street is nothing but a lane packed with shops with shopkeepers not appearing interested to sell any item. Bargaining is also not encouraged and it appears that the shop owners are there just to pass time as they have nothing better to do. Not an ideal shopping street for tourists

It’s the typical night markets found all across the tourist islands of Thailand. The items for sale and consumption are also very typical. It opens from 6pm but most stalls are up and ready before that. The area is not big, 30 minutes to finish browsing through.

The town located by the beach. One of the attraction in Krabi.

In this town u can find ATM machine, money changer, pubs, clubs, restaurant (halal food and non-halal), tour packages, survenir, bike rental and public transport.

Located about 45 minutes from Krabi International Airport, this is the centre point to most of the islands in Krabi.

Tickets to islands like Phi Phi, Chicken Islands, Bamboo Islands and etc can be found here.

A stretch of 7-11s, Family Marts, Pharmacies, souvenir shops, tourist information, bars and restaurants. You won't walk more than five feet without being constantly bombarded by annoying hagglers for massages, tuk tuks, "got good food, come sit", and lady boys trying to sell you cabaret show tickets non stop. After a few days of walking up and down this strip, you'll actually cross the street to avoid the most annoying ones which you'll get to know. Prices for restaurants and souvenirs here will cost you more than most of Thailand. The shop owners aren't great at bargaining either. Discount to them is pretty much nothing. But, you can catch a truly stunning sunset along the beach side which isn't to be missed. They also have some decent, sanitary street food on the west side just past Krabi Resort.
