People sponsoring and paying money to watch snakes and monkeys kept in captivity to entertain stupid tourists should not be allowed to travel. Wild animals belong in the wild and paying to keep them in captive, badly treated to do tricks for idiots is not okay. Disgraceful!

We choose not to support this type of animal tourism due to the impact on the lives of animals. However, we did walk past it during our stay in Ao Nang, and were horrified on one very hot afternoon to see a poor monkey chained to a tree outside in the sun (the chain was too short for the monkey to reach the shaded part of the tree) with no water in sight.

Very upsetting and negative to see this type of treatment of animals and can only imagine how the remaining animals are treated here.

This is the most heartbreaking thing I have seen in Thailand. The animals are essentially tortured, especially the monkeys.
It is disgusting how cruel some humans can be.

Very sad experience - beyond cruel to animals. The monkeys are tied up by the neck and are very possibly cruelly trained with no freedom. Complete exploitation of animals. I wish people would do something to have these poor monkeys released in a sanctuary where they can have some sort of quality of life. :(

Went there in the belief that this would be a educational show about snakes and then we would be able to behold rescued snakes in wellkept enclosures. This naive Disney pipedream was quickly shattered as we saw the show. Snakes were aggetaed for the duration of the show, for our entertainment. The cages were simple with heaps of snakes stowed in like noodles in noodle soup (almost.) There was even a eagle in a cage, with nothing but one branch to sit on and without any possibility to fly. Luckily we did not buy the monkey show, the chained monkeys looked stressed and had open wounds.

Regrettably we spent money here, feel horrible that we did.

I visited the show and enjoyed my time for the most part. I thought it was only snakes and monkeys but overheard an eastern european group looking to feed chickens to crocodiles, I do not think this request was granted. Anyway the show was very good until little Marcel decided to jump on me and bite my arm. I was re-aasured by the performers that the monkey had all the proper vaccinations so I was not to worry. Following an 8hr medical and a stint in quarantine I was enventually allowed to re-enter the UK.

Yes I admit that I am a hater of snakes, even the ones with two legs. Once in a while I have a Cobra in my yard and for tourists you can run into them in the most unsuspecting of places.

There is no need for any snake shows. Some shows try to provide a bit of education yet I suggest to all that no one attend them. If the persons owning the snakes are there for education and scientific purposes, then fine, otherwise avoid it. Just another way to make money from tourists. Note: there is no liability in Thailand, so if you or your child is bit, you are on your own.

I highly recommend visiting this place to watch the King Cobra show. We arrived and the office staff were super friendly.
We booked to watch the snake and Monkey show. The snakes were first. We got to watch around while we were shown all the different snakes, it was a thrilling experience, we got to hold a Cobra, then watch the Show.
Such a professional Snake handler, very daring, my heart was racing throughout the whole show.

We finished with the monkeys, this was highly disappointing after the Snakes, the complete opposite.
Unprofessional and just seemed like he couldn't be bothered. So did the Monkey.
I don't recommend watching the Monkeys but
MUST SEE SNAKE SHOW
