We have been going Kayaking with Krabi Caveman for 11 years. It’s definitely our favourite activity in Krabi / Phuket area. Recommend to go on a Monday morning if the time allows. There are less tourists and you can enjoy the quite and peaceful mangrove.
We do a full day of easy Kayaking with lunch on the floating restaurant. You can request for an a la carte lunch in advance (slightly more expensive). Then you can choose (ask for your spice level!) from seafood, fish and crab (subject for availability) to vegetarian choice.
Have a fun Kayaking trip!

Had wonderful day today on Mel’s canoeing trip exploring caves in the morning - was easy canoeing and didn’t actually go far, but was terrific. We walked into one big cave and canoed through another before returning to the village we started at and enjoyed a nice lunch. The afternoon took us to a lovely cafe at an ocean lookout with spectacular views, and later a swim at a spring fed pool. Highly recommended.

Had a great day with and thanks to Mel. We went early to beat the groups and that makes it all worth. Mel is a really great, relaxed and good guy. He lets you enjoy all the beauty, nature and sounds of the area as it is. We encountered the first (noisy) groups on the way back and then you realize again you had the best experience. Mel likes groups so everybody can enjoy this. Mel thanks again for a beautifull day, the places you showed me, the great coffee and how to relax and enjoy it all ;) See you next time!

This was our best day in Krabi. Me and my boyfriend had the best time with Mel, he picked us up at the hotel at 8AM and then drove us to the place we were going to kayak from. What we liked the best was that the place wasn't touristy, and since we started early in the morning we didn't meet other groups before we were kayaking back to eat lunch. After lunch we went to a café with a lovely ocean view. Lastly, he took us to swim, and it was really fantastic. Highly recommend this trip, Mel was the best guide

Kayaking to the caves is not as easy at it looks. There were moments when we struggled to continue and lots of times when we got caught in the trees or got stuck amongst the stalagmites. We did feel that more support staff was required. Our guide Mr. Yoyo though was absolutely brilliant, entertaining and did his best to make us all comfortable. The caves themselves and the supposed ancient art work really were not that impressive.

The kayaking though hard work was the highlight of this trip (but there are better places to kayak such as Hong island).

If you are going to do this stick with the half day tour as the rest of the options for the full day tour inluding lunch, a dip in a supposed fresh water pool (a little mosquito infested water hole in the ground) and the elephant trekking (extremely uncomfortable) were passable.

My boyfriend & I bought a full day of Kayaking today with Krabi caveman & it was amazing! Being that this is their rainy season we were a little nervous about the weather but it was beautiful!
Our tour guide was Mel who was extremely nice & made us laugh a lot. He was great & took us to see loads of mangroves, lagoons, caves with cave paintings & awesome stalagmites and stalagtites for the morning part and then around 1pm we headed back where we had the choice of fried rice with chicken or fried rice with shrimp. I had the chicken which was awesome & he had the shrimp which was also really good! You get a very decent amount. We were both stuffed after.
It was then time for the swimming part of the trip where Mel took us to this beautiful tropical freshwater spring. It was like something out of a movie! Butterflies flying all around & cold water after the sun all day felt so nice.
We had a pick-up & drop off from our hotel at the exact time estimated. I would highly recommend Krabi Caveman to anyone. I only do reviews if the company surpassed expectations. I promise you will have a great time!

I have been on almost every tour here in Ao nang and I can say that Mel's tour is without a doubt the best kayaking tour in town. He speaks great English, is extremely knowledgeable about the local history and ecosystem.

Hands down the best.

Kayaking, We arrived to pier about 10:00 am by pick up and take kayak and follow the leader. We went to 3 cave through forest canals with small group for 800 baht per person, include transfer, lunch and entrance fee. The program get done with a Thai lunch set about 2:15 pm. That was very good experience.

Having done a Kayaking trip in April in Ao Nang which was rubbish, I did some research and found Mel - Krabi Caveman.

He was brilliant, he spoke good English, took us on a wonderful tour of the mangroves showing us wildlife and explaining the history of the rocks and caves.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day with him, he's great fun and very interesting. He also provided a wonderful lunch for us and nothing was too much bother.

Would highly recommend a trip with him and he's good value for money, beware of some of the cheaper options.

Advertised as a half day kayaking tour which turned out to be about 45 minutes of kayaking at the most. Didn't see any wildlife as it suggested in the brochure. When we asked why it was such a short tour, we were told, "now half moon, no have water, come back in 10 days, have water". The included lunch was a tiny plate of fried rice. 800 baht down the toilet as far as I'm concerned.
