About
Kon-Tiki Krabi is a PADI 5-star Center established in Ao Nang, Krabi for 20 years. Our two boats – Tiki Star and Tiki Legend – will take you on full day and half day diving and snorkeling trips to the amazing sites of the Phi Phi Islands, Ao Nang Archipelago, Shark Point and Koh Haa Yai (Lanta Marine Park) in safety, comfort and style. Group sizes are small so that we can provide the best service. We also offer a range of PADI diving courses from beginner programs through to PADI Pro level, conducted by our highly experienced, international Instructor team. We are proud to partner with Aqualung, Shark Guardian, Project Aware, Trash Hero and the SSS Recompression Chamber. Our dive shop is located in Ao Nang, right in front of the Sugar Marina Resort – we’re open from 9am-9pm every day - drop by to pick up a new mask or rashguard and check out our trips and courses while you’re there – we’d love to see you!

I had done 4 affordable dives over two days with the Kon-Tiki team on July 22.
The entire process from the booking of the trip to the dive itself was incredibly assuring,responsive and professional to the highest standards of any dive operator that I've ever been to. Huge shout out to Angela who made the booking process seamless. Every enquiry that was presented to the team was promptly resolved.
Divemasters Angela,Steve,Gary,Wilco,Daniel and Nata portrayed absolute masterfulness in their friendly service,communication and knowledge of various technical skills and dive site awareness. We managed to see Seahorses, Stingrays, Turtles, Sea snakes and an ever so elusive Leopard Shark!!
The boat crew that had ferried us to the sites were experts in piloting through the choppy waves and provided ample and exceptional food & beverages throughout the transits. There was NO point in time where I had felt even a tinge of discomfort throughout the trip. It was such a pleasure to have spent a huge part of my vacation with Kon-Tiki.
I would strongly recommend everyone to come to Kon-Tiki for their next dive adventure if you’re up for an amazing(and safe) dive adventure with beautiful souls. I know I'd surely come back for more!

We have just finished a 3 day session with Kon Tiki and have had the most wonderful time. We are a family of 4 with one advanced adult Scuba Diver and 1 adult and 2 children (aged 11 & 12) with zero experience of Scuba Diving. We turned up at the office and were greeted by Steve and Angela who were very welcoming. They explained that all 4 of us could all go out together despite the difference in ability, with myself and two children aged 11 & 12 (zero experience) doing the ‘Discover Scuba’ course on the first day with the option to progress onto ‘Open Water’ if we enjoyed the first day, whilst my experienced partner could do ‘fun dives’ at the same time. The teaching we received from Daniel and Mette was first class. From early on the first day it was clear we wanted to progress from the Discover Scuba and onto the Open Water Course. The professionalism of Daniel and Mette made me at ease immediately with their calm easy nature and clarity of instructions. Over the course of the 3 days I was amazed at the how the confidence in my 2 children (and I) grew under their instruction and guidance. I have never given a trip advisor review but felt compelled to do so after what a brilliant experience we have just had. From start to finish every interaction with Kon Tiki was exceptional. We have discovered a love of Scuba Diving and the influence of Kon Tiki cannot be underestimated. As a parent I’m so proud to see the skills my children have developed and how they have grown as individuals under the guidance of Kon Tiki (and Daniel specifically) in just 3 days in the water. If you are visiting the Vicinity of Krabi and are interested in Scuba Diving, I cannot recommend these guys enough. Five Stars all the way…

I have nothing negative to say about Kon Tiki! The staff were all extremely professional and friendly, always ensuring we felt safe and having a great time. They also made sure we were never hungry, always providing us with snacks, fruits and delicious cooked foods between our dives!
The dive boat was comfortable and it took us about 2 hours one way to our dive sites. There were some waves during the ride, so best for anyone worried about sea sickness to take pills in advance. The dive sites themselves were amazing - we went to Koh Phi Phi and Bida Nok on our first day, then the ASK cluster on the second. Since there have been less divers/tourists during covid, I imagine the marine life have had some time to recover. Visibility was also great, up to 15-20m for most of our dives so we had lots to see. We were even lucky enough to see and get quite close to some leopard sharks!!
I'd definitely be diving with Kon Tiki again the next time I come back, and I'd recommend them to anyone who is thinking of diving in Krabi!

Great dive team. Safety is a priority. Dive masters are native English speakers. Prices are good considering how much extra they pay for local services (longboat, dive boat, tuktuk, transport, meal as well as included gear and small group size). Highly recommended

Having been Scuba Diving many times before in 6 different countries, diving with the Kon-Tiki crew was by far my best experience yet.
Right from the start, the entire team was extremely friendly, competent and professional.
Beginning with the booking process over the phone to the hotel pickup, the boat driver, the support staff and the dive instructors, everyone did their part to make sure we had a fantastic time.
A big Thank You to Angela & Steve and a special shout out to Svante for being the most calm, patient and skilful instructor we could have asked for.
Hope to be back again one day. All the very best.

Very professional diving shop/school in the Ao Nang region, with very knowledgeable and super friendly staff.
I contacted Kon Tiki for my 15-year old daughter to finish her Open Water diving course. Throughout I was helped by Angela, who runs the shop / client contact, and felt super well taken care of. My daughter was instructed / examined by Steve, with whom I also went diving, and who clearly has extensive and profound knowledge not only of diving but the entire region. Steve was also super patient and friendly, I couldn't be happier, nor could my daughter. The other instructors I met were also excellent, and Kon Tiki also boasts different sized boats with very good infrastructure for diving.

A genuine thank you to Steve Adamson for his expert instruction and help achieving our PADI Open Water Certification. It made our holiday.
The value for money and Steve’s customer service were outstanding. As someone with an instructional background teaching high-end and potentially dangerous skills, I was impressed by Steve’s patience and calm approach. He put my partner at ease and she loved every second of conquering a fear of being underwater and swimming with sharks (yep, we saw some!) because of him.
If you want to learn a new skill for life and see some amazing things, then learn to dive with Steve and his team. The dive sites (Phi Phi islands), Steve’s dive site knowledge and instructor ratio (1:2) made this an unforgettable experience for us.
We completed a day in a local swimming pool to get us setup with the kit and comfortable breathing underwater, followed by 2 days diving at sea. There was no rush at all and we were comfortable at every stage.
Even the boat transits to the dive sites were enjoyable. The boat crew and wider Kon Tiki team (shout out to Daniel and his wife who had the nicest manner about them and instructed alongside Steve as part of a husband and wife team) were also brilliant. We also enjoyed meeting the other clients too - scuba seems to attract the type of people who like adventure, are pretty chilled out and also respect our planet.
It wouldn’t be right if we didn’t mention Steve’s wife, Angela, too. She facilitated the course for us and made sure we were taken to and from our hotel each day. We stayed in Ao Nang and it couldn’t have been simpler. Nothing was too much trouble.
Think I’ve said it all! We’re hooked!

I had an excellent time on the two-day entry level Paid Scuba Diver course. Steve's tuition was brilliant, and even a complete novice like myself was able to quickly feel comfortable enough to thoroughly enjoy the entire course and the diving experience – hopefully just the beginning of my diving career, as Kon-Tiki helped me to take my first steps into this amazing world. Highly recommended.

This was an amazing experience! The instructors are all very friendly, professional and took care of everything. I was doing the “Discover Scuba” dives, so I’m no certified diver, and I was totally excited after the trip to Phi Phi. So I also joined a second trip - to local Ao Nang islands, where we did 3 dives. I can tell you that they are super beautiful, you see so much fish there, also stingrays, seahorses, lobsters and amazing reefs! I can highly recommend diving around local islands (pictures of few diving sites attached). Thanks to the whole team, it was a pleasure!

Thank you Katja for your amazing review, we are so happy you had the greatest time with us, Steven said you could not stop smiling after the dives on the Ao Nang Local Islands, you were truly spoilt to see all these amazing things in the two days. We did our PADI OWD course and had our first dives ever with Kon-Tikik Krabi and it was fabulous. We made our booking by email and it was smooth and detailed. The training itself was well organised and the steps were carefully explained and closely monitored. The boat trip and dives had a lovely and reassuring atmosphere with friendly, efficient crew and you could tell that the instructors were very experienced and knew the dive sites like the back of their hands. All the divers on the day seemed quite happy with their experience. We were well taken care of at every step and the team went out of their way to take good care of us, particularly of my 12 yo daughter who was especially welcomed and helped. I've already recommend them to friends and will continue to do so :-)

It depends a bit on what you want. You can either do the entry level Open Water Diver course and become a certified diver, or if you would just like to try you can do the Discover Scuba Diving program.

Yes we do have Spanish speaking instructors but unfortunately we do not do any trips at the moment as our boat is undergoing her yearly maintenance.

Depending if you go on a 2 or 3 stop day you will have 2 or 3 hours inwater activity..... you leave at 8 abd will be back 16-18 depending od the day and number of stops

Any idea how much time it requires to finish a scuba dive ? we are two and first time divers.
I have only one free day in Krabi and I have to return back to Bangakok in the evening, so wanted to know how much time we need for a dive? Preferably at Phi Phi

You need to have at least 12 hours rest after diving before you can fly , speak to the dive School who will advise you as you need to fill out forms before a dive which will ask when your flight is. Its dangerous to fly to soon after a dive

We booked a snorkelling day out for two adults and there was a meal included. We had as much cold drinks as we wanted and there was a buffet lunch which was a Thai curry rice and salad which was all included in the price.
