    Great experience!
Great instruction. Fantasic food. Best Panang Curry I had during my 3 weeks in Thailand. We had a large group of around 20 and they accomodated us with ease. So great to also have the recipe book to take home. Went out and bought a wok and ingredients to cook a few dishes this weekend! Would do again in a heartbeat!

Amazing experience. The cooks were very attentive, giving clear instructions and making the experience very pleasant. Good quality of the products. Undoubtedly one of the best plans we have made during our trip in Tailand!

Learning to cook Thai was high on my list of things to do while in Krabi
Before booking this course, I had done a bit of online research and read a number of reviews and they were all so positive and fabulous, that I knew I was making the right choice...and I absolutely nailed it :) Staying in Thailand for two months and I'd promised myself I'd learn the wonders of Thai cooking (I've got the eating part down pat). I ended up being the only booking (early morning, off peak season) so I received total 1:1 tutoring and had an absolute ball. I'm not that confident in the kitchen but the lovely staff (with great English) were patient and kind, making sure I knew what I was doing as they explained how to make a curry paste from scratch. When I got to sit down and eat what we'd made, I was blown away at how delicious it all was (I chose shrimp green curry, chicken Pad Thai, papaya salad, and the sticky rice with mango was the dessert option). Oh my gawd, everything was incrediby tasty and you get to take home what you can't eat to enjoy later. I've been back another time and will go another two times before I leave as I'm determined to learn how to cook each of the four base curries - paneang, massaman, red/green/yellow. Can highly recommend, regardless of your skill level. It's a great way to spend a few hours and you walk away with a full tummy and new skills to share with family and friends when you get back home.

Wish I could have shared an amazing experience. After an email trail of confirmations on the day of class I was never picked up from my hotel.
As someone who loves to cook, and was excited to learn I’m so disappointed.

This turned out to be a highlight of our trip to Krabi and Railay Beach. We took a 6-9 pm cooking class and each one of us cooked 4 essential Thai dishes. The instructors was very kind and patient with us and showed us some of the Secrets to their type of cooking. My wife loved this class and we all had a great time doing it. At the end you eat all you can and take the leftovers with you. Bring some bug spray. If you are interested in amazing Thai food , Take this class!!!!

Ya and her crew were friendly and helpful. The demonstration was easy to follow and the food was excellent - even better than most of the restaurants in Ao Nang. Come here on an empty stomach!! There are loads of dishes to sample and if you cant finish them, they provide takeways for you. Ya was also kind enough to arrange a mini birthday surprise for our friend. A great experienced overall, do drop by if you have the time!!

Ya is more interested in talking about herself than she is about teaching you how to cook. I felt like the cooking class was an assembly line. we did not completely cook one dish ourselves. At one point my son and I watched while others cooked in front of us. In the class we chopped all the vegetables for all the dishes, then while we were put in front of a pot on a burner, other people working for the cooking school, came by turning the heat up or down adding ingredients telling you to stir, adding ingredients that you were not even sure what they were. ( I had to ask several times what we were making and what was being added to the dishes that we were supposed to be learning how to make. Then before you knew what happened you were sitting down to eat food, made by the staff mostly and not sure what was what. very little instruction. I have been to another cooking school in Chaing mai that was completely different. we made all the food ourselves and ate what we made. We learned about the ingredients and how to choose good fruit and veg. and how to substitute ingredients. If you want to actually learn how to cook a meal, I would not waste your money at Ya's. If you want an overpriced meal (where you chop the vegetables) and you pay extra for water, this is what you will get.

After following the tripadvisor reviews I thought that this will be a great cooking class. We've booked 3 places for the morning session course Program A with 10 recipes.
First of all instead of picking us up at 8:30, we got picked-up at 9:30 and we started cooking actually after 10 o'clock thinking that we might stay after 13:00 o'clock to compensate , but never happened.
The "cooking lesson" lasted only one hour + another hour eating what we cooked/
We were presented the classic ingredients (chilli , galangal, thai basils , lemongrass, kafir lime) then we started chopping them, after that we started smashing some spices that some other ladies from cooking school prepared without telling us exactly what they are.
Afterwards we've cooked 3 dishes some noodles , curry and some rice with most of the work done by the ladies working there and again without explaining what exactly we are adding.
The only info where put 3 spoons from this bottle , 3 from this , 2 from this, then they were adding spices again without explaining and basically that was it.
All this took not more than 40 min. and lesson finished
Ya the lady owner there her phone ranged continuously and she left most of the work to her assistants which don`t speak English.
Maybe in the past she was more involved and the quality was better but now really I can`t say I learned anything from her and I don`t remember any recipe.
I would suggest to try a cooking lesson elsewhere which can prove to be much more professional and with much more dedication.

My first Thai cooking class in Thailand. Times were 14:30 to 18:00. Got picked up at 14:30, picked lots up on the way and finally started at 15:30 with 22 others. They didn't have enough space or equipment for everybody, so we had to watch Ya racing through the making of curry paste; (by the way, because of the numbers, i could hear and see very little). Then again, because of numbers, we split up and cooked different dishes, sometimes in twos or threes. We had a half hour break for food and were finished at 17:30. So in reality it is a 1 1/2 hour course. Also, every now and then, one of her staff would come along and throw some ingredients in without letting us know why. In summary, very disappointed after paying so much and for so little time or attention. Felt like finger painting classes in kindergarten!

Life-changing Thai food. Best in my life. Do not hold back on the spice if you’re a proud Southeast Asian. Great teachers at the school too who are helpful and entertaining.
