We booked the ferry ticket from Krabi to Phi Phi through 12GoAsia. I chose the direct pickup from the hotel. The ticket said to be ready 30 min before departure (8:30am). So we waited at our hotel lobby starting at 7:50am. The large tuk tuk did not show up until 8:50 and we were the second to last stop. There wasn't enough room for all of us (and baggage) so one of the passengers was sitting on the floor with their legs outside the moving truck! Before boarding the ferry, we signed in and there was staff to help us with our large suitcase into the ferry. There was plenty of seating both at the upper and lower level (bear in mind we traveled in March and during the Coronavirus). It was nicely air conditioned. When getting our bags, it went by without problem. A representative helped to take our luggage off the ferry as well! Overall, annoyed with the late pickup but transit to the final destination went smoothly!

We travelled between Railey to Ko Phi Phi on 9:45 am today 04/01/19, and the boat was overloaded with about 30 people, the sitting area was full so a lot people were sitting on the floor everywhere, no indication of extra life jackets present. Staff was friendly saying sorry, but in Thai were laughing. Companies like that shouldn’t be aloud to operate. On the phone they said to call our agency to get refunds or half refund, which off course is not possible because we’re not going back to our origem. When booking a boat just make sure to don’t book with Ao Nang Princess.

Dear ElaineKlava, sorry to hear that you had a bad day on the boat. But please understand this - the boat is usually crowded on Peak season and we're caring about the safety. So it's not overloaded .

Having seen several dozen vlogs on you tube singing praises of the great Ao Nang beach in Krabi, me and my wife decided to see it for ourselves. So we booked flights, hotel and landed there an early December afternoon. After check in a relaxing a bit, eager to enjoy a great evening at the great beach, we walked down to the Ao Nang beach by 5.30 in the evening, hoping to catch a spectacular sunset but our hopes were dashed as the horizon was clouded. Hoping for better luck next evening, we got down to the beach, only to find a beach with sand, coarse enough to de skin the feet in an hour. The entire beach was dirty, crowded and completely devoid of white powdery sand we were erroneously expecting. To top it all, a drain from the town brought all the trash to one end of the beach. Soon enough we were out in the market, wondering why we had to travel to this corner of the world to shop standard fare at triple the prices. We strongly recommend taking a 15 minute boat for THB 200 to Railay Beach to enjoy great views and find sand. However, travelling to Ao Nang was not devoid of merits. The next we took a 7 island tour and visited wonderful Koh Tub and Koh Mor, Koh Poda, tried snorkeling at Chicken island and dined at Railay beach and witnessed a nice fire show. The trip was absolutely wonderful. Here is a caveat though. The tour operator charged THB 400 per person in the name of entrance fee which is a scam. There was no government official to collect any fee at anywhere near the chicken island when we went snorkeling. The next day we visited Hong island which turned out to be even better than the day before. We couldn't to the the cave temple and emerald pool for it required taking 1200 plus stairs and I had a sore ankle. Overall, Ao Nang is only a place to stay. Nothing touristy here but you can use it as a base to explore wonderful areas around.

This service gets you from A to B but the organisation and timing is very poor and I would advise not to rely on the timing of this company. Told to check in half an hour before departure at 10.45, only to sit waiting on the beach for another half an hour (11.15), then on a long tail boat for 20 minutes. Didn’t leave until almost an hour behind time so were then of course almost an hour late to our next destination. Disorganised at the end as well with everyone scrabbling to get their bags.
