Nice location but needs updating. It was advertised as a 2 bedroom suite but the unit was very small and basic. We were expecting something similar to the Marriott Resort, but it was barely adequate. The only place to get food was at the Golf Clubhouse.

I didn't play golf however we came to the area for a dinner and the green at 18th hole was very nice overlooking the club house. The people in my group that played golf said the golf course was nice considering they were here in May. This club house was a nice place to come for drinks, lunch or dinner.

We did not stay at the Rockycrest Resort but played the course. The course was in excellent condition, with the exception of a noticeable fungus on some of the greens. This is a friendly course, and although by name it is rocky, the greens were fair, and we really appreciated the marshall very clearly explaining pace of play to all players being sent off. That really makes a difference, when you can play at a decent pace. Good on course management for enforcing pace of play. The scenery on this course is as good as it gets, and we saw a deer behind one of the greens. We played Lake Joe two days later, and found it to be very different, much harder and unplayable greens, and tons of water, I would suggest the course might have drainage issues. Also, no respect for pace of play, we are four seasoned players, and waited almost 20 minutes at times to tee off. Looks like members can drive around the course and jump in as a single or double if there is room. Wha??? If I had to choose between this RockyCrest and Lake Joe, I'd take Rocky in a heartbeat. Would highly recommend this course, and the restaurant serves great martinis and kettle cooked chips.

What an absolute disappointment. My Hubby and I were so excited to stay here for 4 days (Monday-Thursday) We were making this our "mini-moon" after getting married the weekend before. The photos looked gorgeous and we were SO excited to relax and unwind, enjoying time together after our big day. For the price you pay (approx. 1500 for 3 nights, you'd expect the best) We are not hoity-toity people, and we are from a small town. We can handle "roughing it" though this should have been far from it. We travelled approx. 3hrs to get to the resort, called enroute to see what time check in was, they said 4pm, but they would help us when we got there ( we knew we'd be there by 3pm) We get there and NO help, just sorry- you have to wait til 4pm. So we had to kill 1 hour after already driving for 3. We check into our room, no help offered, there is a huge flight of stairs to carry our luggage. Nice big room with balcony with lake view as requested. The balcony was disgusting. Filthy. Eavestrough was ripped apart and full of debris from the trees. But we thought, what the hell, the view was beautiful and a few glasses of wine would make it better. We did enjoy it for a few hours, until it rained, so we decided to get some logs for the fire. 1 complimentary log, $5.00 extra per log, and they last 3hrs. Had the fire, it was nice. Went to bed and woke up in the morning to A LEAK IN THE ROOF!! Like a real hard leak, soaked the couch dripping, drywall in ceiling and peeling. Called front desk, they sent maintenance.. 20 minutes later. In the meantime, I called the front desk to tell them to make arrangements for our new room that we could be moved to. The front desk "didn't believe" that the roof was leaking , and had to call us back. They had to wait for maintenance to confirm the leak was real. We had to wait another 20 mins for that. Soon after front desk called back, and they couldn't get a room that was similar to our request (lake front with balcony) ... the only one was above the pool full of screaming children... sorry, but no thanks. SO we said, we didn't want to stay anymore... the poor service, leaking room, packing and unpacking luggage, up and down flights of stairs up a dirt pathway road back to the parkinglot, we were fed up. So they said sorry, but you have to pay for the 1 night we stayed (keep in mind, check in is a 4pm and this whole leak thing happened around 10:30am.... so 18hrs at the resort) ($437.00) PLUS another nights stay... but kindly, the waived our deposit. So they wanted us to pay over $900 for us to check out and leave. YAAA RIGHT!! so we argued a bit, and ended up having to pay for one night only, which was sad enough - $437.00. We bit the bullet and paid it, and went on our way. We were able to return the fire logs we purchased as well.... OH but yet another hiccup. We had 2 massages booked that afternoon we had to cancel.... that we were going to be charged for because the front desk wouldn't explain that we were leaving due to a leaking roof. My hubby and I had to walk down ourselves, explain the situation and they were totally understandable.. no issues at all. Thank goodness!! Terrible experience and will not recommend this resort to anyone. We were very upset as we wanted to play a round at the rocky crest golf club too. Food was AMAZING. (oh and FYI we were room # 37.. and if a employee of rocky crest reads this.. the skylight window in the kitchen has water damage and is cracking bad too...)

We had a good time here.
The golfing was absolutely amazing, but the resort needed help.
Our room was dirty... my wife had to clean the bathroom and tub, but we still had fun. The kids had fun in the water with the blow up toys.

We were on a golf special at a very great rate, one nights accommodation at Rocky Crest resort. We were put in building 1 at lakeside. This appeared to be an older building in the resort. A king suite. On the positive, it was clean and roomy. The king bed was very comfortable. The furniture definitely needed up grading as it was pretty worn looking both in the bedroom and living room. The small deck definitely needed to be cleaned as did the chairs and small table. The area looked like it was ignored, empty flower pots and window boxes. In order to get to our suite it took several flights of stairs to get to our room. The grounds needed some TLC.

Stayed the week end.
Not a hotel experience, a sort of a condo experience. Booking was taken incorrectly and created unnecessary stress at check in, bath tubs were re-cleaned by my wife and bathrooms were 1 star which is a poor start. We are not fussy about appliances which were fine etc but cleanliness was just not ok. More a standard than a maintenance issue I'm guessing. Food was good not great (caesar salad not from scratch, fruit was past prime), dock facility was really nice with lots for kids to do, nice deep water diving. That said, water skiiers next door went very narrowly between hotel dock and kids swimming and paddling with no reaction from staff which seems like pretty basic safety issue. I am generally not fussy there but this is basic water safety and harmony with the neighbors seems to take priority over hotel kids in the water.
Staff responded quickly and conscientiously to partying group of guys in adjoining condo next door who would not shut it down at 1 am. A lot of golf foursome party guys.
Facility is well located. Front desk staff are professional.

The accommodations are tightly spaced over multiple buildings. The description of the suite was slightly exaggerated, starting with the "garden view" which in fact was a view of the alleyway between the building we were in and the building on front of it, perhaps within 30 feet. I did ask on check in if there were stairs or an elevator and was told maybe 3 steps. In fact, we had to go down a steep walkway to 3 steps, then 5 more steps to the "balcony" which made carrying luggage etc difficult taking into consideration the rainy weather. The "balcony" was the wooden deck to access the suite, beginning with a tiled foyer containing the unlocked electrical panel. This foyer and the close proximity of the next building made the suite itself quite dark Once inside the suite, the rooms were comfortable and spacious but the fireplace had no wood nor artificial logs to burn and the "spa" tub was not the expected jetted tub but merely a deep soaker tub. The additional $28 Resort fee was also annoying.
We visit this area annually but will not return to this resort as we feel the value is not sufficient to justify the amount charged.

Very dissapointed not even close to 5 stars. Room smells like a sewer.
Front desk very unhelpful. Are told online to golf there you must be a resort guest but when you arive were told members only but would refer us to a member club an hour away. What! Would not even let us use driving range.only good feature was dining room. Excellent meal. Then only got to dine one night after raising hell.
Will never stay at a club link golf resort again.

Twenty friends decided to stay at Rockycrest resort and play some golf. We played Rockycrest golf club the first day. There is a lot of rocks on the coarse. You have to avoid the rocks and stay on the grass. Its a challenging but beautiful coarse, with nature all around. The views are breathtaking. Its like playing in paradise. Great golf coarse and friendly helpful staff. I really enjoyed the day.
