This is a great and authentic place. We were the only 2 persons over there but we were treated very well. We had wonderful conversation which a host and tasted homemade Georgian food (outstanding quality and really different from anything we tried before in our 2 weeks trip). You can taste there also a great quality homemade Chacha, honey vodka and few types of wine. Definetly a place for everybody who is looking for authentic grorgian experience. You can easly reach the place by walking or taxi, it’s just few meters outside the Kutaisi. Khatia speaks english very well so you won’t have any problems with communication, you will also learn a bit about wine production and history. Highly recommended…

We visited Mate's Wine Cellar on 2 June together with our guest from Latvia. The house is very close to Kutaisi and less than 20 min drive from Kutaisi airport. It is also located very conveniently on the way to the Sataplia cave. If you are going to visit the cave I advise to stop by this charming family - the Imeretian hachapuri was heavenly, so was Mate's Tsolikouri wine and other food made by his mom. The yard is charming for relaxing after walking in Kutaisi, Sataplia or a tiresome flight You can arrange Georgian food masterclasses there as well.…

The experience at Mate and his wife was charming as the tasting takes you through the history of making wine in clay vessels; we chose to taste 3 wines, chacha and eat some traditional food. We were really impressed of the amber wine, which is special in Georgia, their hospitality and for being able to taste home made wines. Delicious! PS: the place is very close to Kutaisi.…
