Ok so I'll start with the bad news. It's a long steep walk back up steps and a steep hill. They don't tell you that anywhere. If you are unfit struggle with mobility or have young kids then probably best to arrange a taxi or...More

The Lakes are great to swim in. Hire bikes to go around the National Park. Great way to get about. The National park office is very helpful and will tell you about the ferry to the island which is included in the ticket. Been here...More

Not to be missed, rent a bike or just walk the paths. Pay a visit to the small island and get to the south end of the park in the fisherman village for a lunsh (cash only)

We stopped here on a small boat cruise. walked to the lakes up an uneven steep track, lots of shallow steps but plenty of seats to rest on the way. Were offered a taxi by our tour manager but we all decided to do the...More

We was a group of 20 on a day trip to the park. I hadn't done my home work and didn't realise how beautiful it was! It has walking trails and the climb to Montokuc is definitely worth the effort - although the rom at...More

It's a good walk, especially when hot, fairly steep in places and the surface can be a bit uneven but you are rewarded with outstanding views. It can get busy but these does not detract from the scenery.

We spent 2 weeks in Croatia, and Mljet was by far our favourite nature/swimming destination for our trip. The waters were unbelievably blue and it was a much appreciated tranquil getaway from the crowds everywhere else. We were based in Dubrovnik Old Town, so we...More

Apologies for beginning with a negative but, whatever you do, do not rent any vehicles from Mini Brum. They will rip you off. We rented from them because our hotel said they were good, which they certainly aren't. Organised a car with them over the...More

This was a sentimental visit as the last time I went was just over 43 years ago . The lakes are still beautiful and warm. The main difference (and my memory may be wrong) is it’s more organised and loads more people. But please go

You mention you are going from Dubrovnik to Polace! Why are you then asking about ferries to Sobra? The best/fastest ferry from Dub/Mljet is the high-speed catamaran which goes to Pamona. Not sure of the times of this, as it... More
