This is an enjoyable way to spend half an hour, wandering through the impressive bamboo forest. It is pretty to look at and offers some cool relief and shade from the hot sun. Great photo opportunities here, but only worth a visit if you're already visiting the village too.

the air so fresh and this place so natural, we are enjoying taking photograph here :p, need to walk around 500mtr from the entrance of Panglipuran, or you can park near the temple and walking 100mtr to this place.

As far as bamboo goes, this is not our first bamboo forest, however, it is definitely some of the largest we have ever seen. A short walk into the forest, you get under the welcome cooling of the bamboo canopy. Could have stayed longer in that cooling environment after being in the hot sun for a few hours.
Some of the bamboo had been cut and was drying and still more had been cut to use as roofing material which could be seen on rooftops in the area.

We passed through the bamboo forest enroute to the panglipuran traditional village. The drive through the forest was refreshing.

I loved this bamboo forest, it was really calm and extremely peaceful. It’s not a place that one would spend the afternoon for a picnic but in passing it’s great for the experience of seeing how the bamboo looks in its growing stages. Bamboo plays a huge part in the lives on the Balinese people and it’s amazing how creative they are with this plant.
Luckily my guide/ driver pointed this beautiful Forest our to me, it wasn’t on my agenda and l wouldn’t have even noticed that it was easily available to photograph. Thanks to Ubud Area Tours for great knowledge of Bali which helped my trip by being extremely informative.

If you're going to Penglipuran from backside, you will see a lot of bamboo and it's perfect for photo-stop about 5-10 minutes, so basically Hutan Bambu Penglipuran is hassle-free and it won't make you wasting your time (if you're going to Penglipuran village), better if you go there with scooter but be careful the road is little bit bumpy.
But if you're going to Penglipuran with bus/other vehicles, you're still possible to walking from Penglipuran to here, it's about 200-400 meter depends on your bus stop/parking area.

Honestly it was okay, it’s not gonna hurt you to go if you’re looking for something to do, it’s lovely seeing the bamboo. But that’s about it, that’s all there is here, of course there is the village but that’s it. So don’t make a special journey here and have super high expectations. It’s a nice walk though on a sunny day. It’s nice to do on your way to doing other things if that make sense. Hope this helps!

It was amazing to see this forest and the bamboos growing over the road making a tunnel. An interesting experience.

Hi! Are they selling bamboo seeds? If they do, what varieties are available and how much are they? Thanks!

The bamboo forest is owned by the village and I think if you speak to the village head, they will allow you to buy some seeds. Just go to the village and speak with the village head. Cheers!
