The island is only 15 minutes by speedboat from the Klong Muang island. The sand is white and not coarse and the water is pristine clear. It is ideal for swimming and snorkelling. The best part of this island is it is not too crowded unlike the Phi Phi ..

My daughter and I booked a long boat tour of Hong and 2 other islands. Being out on the water was wonderful. Be sure to wear plenty of sunscreen and reapply during the day. There is a 300 baht fee to visit this National Park and it can get a bit crowded, but it's still worth the price of admission.... More

Our group of 4 had a blast taking a longtail boat out to Hong Island. The bathrooms were "traditional" so if that freaks you out make sure to go before you leave the hotel 😎 There are lifeguards on site. The snorkelling was great, we saw all sorts of cool stuff! The beach was clean. There is a cool lagoon... More

Beautiful beach with a lot of snorkelling options. We took a long tail boat from Krabi and the experience of sailing in the trasitional vessel was awesome. If you take a speedboat you can cut down on the duration of travel. After reaching there we felt that the scenes were straight out of a Hollywood movie. We did Kayaking in... More

Beautiful beaches. But way too crowded. Went here with a speed boat and the trip there and back was great. Water is so clear and great for swimming. But beware of the jelly fish (ask life guard for vinegar if needed).

Koh Hong I had seen videos of Hong Island on Youtube and I really wanted my family to experience that beautiful place. We rented a private longtail boat to go there. It really is a beautiful island but it was just packed with tourist. It is on the regular 4 island tour and everyone seems to get 2 hours there... More

Probably our favorite Island in the area. Arrived in later afternoon and practically had the whole island to ourselves! Amazing lagoon on one side and nice snorkeling and a marvelous beach in the other. Check out the nature trail as well- we had a huge monitor lizard run right next to us!

The boat ride around the island was beautiful. The actual swimming area was ridiculously crowded. A complete tourist spot, if you want quite private island, hire a boat and go elsewhere- glad we did that after spending a few hours here. Side note, the nature walk is pretty!
