A beautiful Island, especially the Lagoon. Great scenery with limestone peaks and mangrove forest. Although since tsunami, the sea is not as beautiful as before, the variety of fish and coral also decreased but it's still a good place to visit for couples and family. The best seasons to visit is November to April and for best experience, touring with... More

Booked the half day Hong island hopping at Ploypailin for 600baht per pax inclusive of lunch. Transport pick up at 8.20am in hotel and drop off around 4pm. The view of the island was breath taking and there wasn't much crowd when we were there during the off peak season. Guess most tourist will head down to the overcrowded James... More

Hong Island can be reached in about 45 minutes from Ao Nang by long tail boat. There's a nice small beach area for swimming with room to beach several dozen boats. Phi Phi and Chicken Islands attract more people so this is a quieter alternative.

Hire a long tail boat yourself-many agents in Aonang. Book it only for yourself and friends/family. It will take you to Hong Island and back-provide life jackets and snorkeling gear and iced mineral water. You can snorkel for 2 to 3 hours and then return. Take snacks with you. The water is clear and moderate amount of fish.No baby sharks!... More

Took a speedboat from Ao Nang and Hong Island was one of the 4 islands we snorkelled at. It was very beautiful albeit fairly crowded with holiday makers. Toilet and changing facilities were not well maintained, some work needs to be done there

One of the most beautiful islands in the Andaman sea. We travelled from Krabi to Hong Islands, including the Hong Lagoon. The clear turquoise water along with the surrounding is just mesmerising. Great place for snorkelling and enjoy the sea!

Went to Hong Island with the Ritz for the morning. It was the perfect way to spend a casual day relaxing in the sun and swimming in the warm water. Went from 9 to 12 and that was the perfect amount of time for us. Tons of tiger fish and nice and shallow for all types of swimmers. Fish come... More

Took a trip to Hong islands last week. It's a beautiful place and even for a rainy season it was enjoyable. Tides were high so water was pretty mirky but we could see a lot of fish with snorkel masks on. We had been to 4 islands during dry season and could see lots of fish with bare eyes but... More
