We went to the market on Thursday morning. It closes around 1 pm or so. The market covered the whole downtown area with many types of vendors (clothes, veggies, bags, fruit, food vendors, fresh meat, fresh fish, nuts and dry fruit/veggies). We bought a few days worth of food which was worth it, as it was fresh (we stayed with friends and cooked most meals). Plenty of free parking.

Even out of season, this is still quite a good market to go to. Plenty of parking down by the river. Most of the market in the off season is in the main square but would strongly recommend walking up to the upper square, there were some great local cheese producers up there + some other smaller stalls of local produce.

A typical(meaning very good) Provençal market. This is a huge affair, filling four different squares and several streets. Everything for tonight’s dinner, clothes to lounge around in or go to your daughters wedding, great fish, meat, and vegetable stands, Knick-knacks, mattresses and more.

The large farmers market on Thursday morning has been a tradition for many many years in Nyons and it has only grown larger with time. Food of many kinds, cooked and raw clothing, artisan crafts, books, flowers, candy and more, crowded alleys, easy going merchants, noisy, cheerful, it's a true provencal experience!

Provencal Market Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes France is a great local farmer's market for produce we found better than the items offered in grocery stores and for less.

The choice is yours. Food, fresh fish, meat, vegetables, bread. Clothing, from head to toes, lovely provincial crockery made traditionally in fantastic designs, etc and all at a good price. It's a good place to buy a small olive tree too should you want one. All around are lovely restaurants to sample their own particular dish if the day.
Wonderful

Went early arrived at 8.30 expecting an early start alot of the stalls were very slow to put out. Fruit, vegetables and flowers looked of excellent quality but the clothes, jewellery and fabric stalls were very slow to put out and fairly unimpressive. Bought some soaps which we are pleased with but the table linen that we went for we found of poor quality and the straw baskets were dearer than in the local supermarket. So will be heading there.

We were informed that Nyons had 2 markets and we decided to go to the sunday market, which arguably is the more touristic of the 2 days. When arriving you already feel it is going to be a crowded experience just by the amount of cars parked at the side of the road when arriving to Nyons.

At market itself is large or perhaps long is a better word to describe it. It has all the typical items you would expect like pottary, jewelry, sausages, lavender etc ...
Really impressive and enjoyable ... unfortunately we could not fully enjoy it as it was too crowded.
Since we were travelling with 2 young children and needed to keep a constant eye on them, we also decided to shorten our stay.
Perhaps the months of May, June or September would be a better time to enjoy this market.

Market in Nyons on a Sunday morning - for me nothing special except for the inflated prices of may items (cheese, charcuterie). Nice atmosphere for a walk around the town.

Nyons has two market days. Thursday is the larger of the two markets, but both provide opportunities to buy fruit, nuts, vegetables, herbs, and a host craft items. The village gets very busy during both markets, with people coming from afar and making parking a challenge. Not to be missed if you are in the area.
