All free - donation box optional. Watch a demo of fibre mats being made with real old fashioned machinery, and see the family history. Lots of products on sale. Well worth the visit.

This is a great bit of local heritage as you can wander around and discover how the weaving has been done through generations of one family. There is a video showing all the steps to make the mats, models and upstairs you can visit the workshop as it is actively being used for weaving and see first hand the products being made. The lady is very friendly and shows and explains the machinery. It is very real as there are no barriers or areas you are kept away from in the workshop, you're given free range. This museum is free and probably doesn't take much longer than an hour, however a trip to the boutique where the items are sold might add extra time! If you're staying in or near Nyons it's definitely worth a visit - even if it's just short. After all, it's the last Scourtinerie in France!

A family business continuing to produce wonderful mats using old engineering methods probably not found anywhere else in France. You can watch a demonstration upstairs and downstairs there is a great video and exhibits explaining all the story. All this is free but you can leave a tip in the box (no one brings your attention to it). At ground level you can buy the mats they make plus other local crafts.
