Interesting and unique adventure destination... we arrived on a sunny day and enjoyed the beautiful views and friendly staff. We grab a cup of coffee and some home baked pastry. We sat outside on the deck and took in the sights.

I give this place zero star and good advice: DO NOT GO THERE! The first time we visited that place was around 2006, when it was just opened. It was really beautiful, with gorgeous views of the cliffs hanging over the river. We didn't go on the bridge, because it was too much money, and we were a family of four. We just walked around, enjoyed the views and took pictures. Three years ago, on the way from Whitehorse to Skagway, we stopped there again. We were met by a strict guy, who told us we couldn't watch the views unless we bought tickets to the bridge. We stepped back and enjoyed the view from afar. This time, on approaching the area, we noticed a huge and ugly fence being built along the cliffs. The fence was hiding the entire view! We entered the area and were greeted by a smiling young lady. Her smile disappeared when she learned we were not buying the tickets and just wanted a cup of coffee. The tickets were about $20 (Canadian). As soon as we walked in, the lady said something to the other young lady, who worked in the coffee shop, and she immediately closed all doors and windows through which we could see the river. They didn't open the doors then until we left. This is the WORST business ever! If you don't buy tickets, they are not nice to you. Coffee is horrible and expensive too: their large size is a typical medium size. I can understand charges for the bridge, but they also privatized the views that don't belong to them. Do NOT not support this business. Let them go! Just 5 km away, towards Fraser, you will find even more beautiful views, and not far from the Whitehorse visit gorgeous Miles Canyon with it's suspension bridge - all FOR FREE!
Avoid Yukon suspension bridge by all means!!!

We were in Alaska on May 16th and booked our own excursion with Beyond Skagway with the intent to visit the Yukon Suspension Bridge. We were fortunate to get there the last hour they were open and all of the cruise ship tour buses were gone. The woman that met us was extra friendly and at no time did we feel rushed to go thru the viewing areas. While the suspension bridge in and of itself is fun to cross, the real experience is standing in the center of it and soaking in the views on each side. You can feel and hear the mighty roaring of the Yukon River below you and it gave me a great appreciation of Nature's forces. We took advantage of the restrooms (with an awesome view!) and bought a hot coffee and cookie for the road trip back to Skagway. They even offered to stamp our passport with their logo. A huge part of our trip to Alaska and Canada was taking the opportunity to really experience the natural part of our surroundings and feel an appreciate of nature. Even though we only spent a little more than an hour there, I feel it was worth the price and the experience we had will be a lifetime memory. Thank you !

We went here as part of our Princess excursion , we took a bus from our Lodge up to the summit ,
The scenery is just breathtaking , and stunningly beautiful , a nice bus ride along the South Klondike, along the way we stopped a few times to take in the sheer vastness of the place , we finally arrived at the suspension Bridge . I was a bit apprehensive at first ,looking at the height and the expanse across the river , it is really a wonderful feat of engineering and I was surprised how well it blended in with the surrounding , the bridge itself is steel and you can see through the walkway and look at the river beneath , at times there can be a lot of people on the bridge , and there is a natural sway on the bridge itself , so just tread carefully , especially if you are a bit unsteady on those feet but don't let that put you off, the bridge is very safe , you must not miss this experience , this will appeal to young and old alike , the day we where there the air was quite sharp and it took your breathe away as did he bridge. Surrounding the bridge is some history of the Klondike , and some statutes of bears ,that you can have your picture taken with , there is a cafe where you can have a coffee of hot chocolate , there was a nice smell of cooking, there is also a well stocked gift shop

We visited the Suspension Bridge as part of a package excursion through Norwegian Cruise Lines 8 day cruise. From the train depot, we took a short bus ride to the suspension bridge. The surrounding structures looked great without it looking like it was completely out of place. The bridge itself is a feat! When you first enter the site they funnel everyone through the gift shop first which was a bit annoying because it caused a back-up to get in. I got a little "rush" standing in the middle of the bridge with the view of the mountains around me and the rushing water below me. Across the bridge is a representation of what a gold prospectors cabin may look like... but not much else. Toward the entrance there are diorama's of what the area looks like on a larger scale and what life was like during the gold rush. By the way, decorative bears are available to take slightly inappropriate pictures with...

we traveled with norwegian cruise line and we got the tickets for
Yukon Suspension Bridge and scenic lunch. the lunch was terrrible! the road was beautiful but absolutely long ride for kids and some adults (including me) during the way the bus driver was telling us about yummy food and he asked us 10 times if we are hungry enough for that wonderful
lunch! God bless them.it was a cold and greasy soup in a cup just double the size of people jello shot cups.they put some kind of awful bread beside that to complete that meal. even water and orange juice was gross .my husband thought it was just the starter and the food will come to the table after that.the view is just ok but as i said really not worthed to to be trapped in the bus for total of 2/5 hours to get there and spend total of 20 min.(lunch and bridge). bottom line, this shore excursion is a real RIP OFF. don't buy it! but if you are just in the road take a look to the bridge

Dear Lavander S, First I would like to thank you for making us a part of your cruise vacation. We are truly disappointed that your experience was not satisfactory. We serve organic free range bison chili as our lunch item, and would have addressed your concern directly on your visit, had it been brought up to the staff at the time. The bread is called Bannock Bread. Which is a traditional bread prepared by people of the First Nations in the area, for special occasions such as weddings, and other important celebrations. It is made fresh every day, and has been very popular here at the restaurant. If you did not enjoy it we had traditional roles on hand. Unfortunately our facility does not control the logistics of the tour, but each visit is scheduled to be a minimum of an hour, and an hour and a half for the tours that include lunch. If you feel you did not have a sufficient amount of time at the Bridge, please let your cruise line staff know next time so we can address the situation before you disembark your ship. We value all guest feedback, and continue to strive to make every visitor experience both memorable and enjoyable. Please contact us through our website if there is something that we can do to help make your memory of our facility a positive one.

We visited the Yukon suspension bridge as part of our Princess cruise. It can be reached by train, car or bus. Be sure to bring your passport as you will be crossing into Canada and a visa may be required depending on your country of nationality. The walk across the bridge can be unsettling and I noticed some people were a bit scared when looking down. The rapids below were flowing fast and the views of snow-capped mountains in the distance made for some very good photo opportunities. There is a cafe to buy food, a gift shop and there are exhibits/displays outside to look at and touch and you can learn the history of the area. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They'll even stamp your passport with a Yukon Suspension Bridge stamp. I would definitely recommend visiting this spot.

I’m not really sure why this bridge is there, but it is a very interesting and worthwhile stop along the Yukon Highway. There are well-done exhibits and photo ops regarding the mountain men and gold seekers that traveled through the area.

The bridge itself is very solid. There was no wobbling and hardly any movement at all while walking it on with a few other people. The view of the river and surrounding mountains are fantastic from the bridge itself. And it is a special treat if you happen to see white water rafters going down the Class 5 rapids while you are there.

It had a cute gift store and a restaurant that hadn’t yet opened for the season. There was also a ranger who happily stamped passports with a Yukon Suspension Bridge stamp to commemorate our stop. Overall, very worthwhile stop. And be sure to try the free sample of maple sugar cookies. YUM!

While on a port stop in Skagway with our cruise, we decided to rent a car and drive to Whitehorse. We stopped at all of the tourist attractions along the Klondike Highway, and this one was hyped up to be a "must see" in our travel brochures. When we arrived, we thought we would peek at the bridge to see if it was worth a visit, but our path was blocked by an employee who told us we would get no further than the parking lot if we didn't pay $15 each. We decided to go ahead and experience the bridge, which we soon discovered was not worth the price of admission -- the pace of those walking across it was brought to a crawl by those taking photos and when we reached the other side, there was a hut with some traditional Native gear but no descriptors of why it was there and what it was meant to represent. Our visit lasted about 7 minutes in total and was completely not something we would recommend other travelers to do. And it's called the Yukon Suspension Bridge -- but it's actually in British Columbia.

I love the views, and I love the Chili. I am a frequent traveler on the Klondike Highway, and I never miss a chance to visit the Yukon Suspension Bridge. I think the architecture is amazing, and the chili is some of best I have ever eaten. If you are traveling into Canada from Skagway you don't want to miss this attraction!
