Enjoyed our brief stop to pay our respects to the man who was the first to cross the Atlantic nonstop in an airplane, Charles Lindbergh. Quiet setting with beautiful overlook of the rugged South Maui coastline. Small model of the "Spirit of St Louis" resting...More

For those of us of a certain age, the story of Col. Lindbergh, and his family"s life in New Jersey and the kidnapping of his baby is still fascinating and leaves many questions unanswered. A very complicated man with conflicting views during WWII. Getting to...More

I got a bit off track trying to find this spot without gps, but once a local ranger helped me find it, it was interesting. It started to rain so I did not spend much time. I forgot to get a photo, but make sure...More

Stop in to see the church and the grounds. The gravesite is on the grounds - very simple, yet interesting in a historical sense.

Worth the stop to see the old church and lava rock graves. The views from the cemetery and park of the coast are beautiful, too. Definitely something to find Lucky Lindy's grave--a true American Hero.

Found it very interesting to learn more about Charles Lindbergh and the life he lead after his flying fame and the infamous kidnapping of his son. A very peaceful place to rest.

Found the Church first and then looked for grave in graveyard area. Lots of parking to see Church, facing church entrance the grave is over wall on the right. Walk around wall and then back to site. Great location

Sketchy drive to get here and even down the road to the church and his grave. There were a couple of nice horses on the neighbouring property to the church and I think you can camp here, otherwise could of skipped it.

Past mile marker 41, if you're travelling from Hana, is the turn off to the left to the church which has his and other grave sites. After you turn left onto the narrow road, you go a very short distance and then turn left again...More

Don't blink or you'll miss the narrow paved side road that goes to Palapala Ho'omau Church that has Charles Lindbergh's grave to the right side of it. Set among lush vegetation close to the south coast of the island, you can see why he chose...More

Depending on the day and the time you happen to stop at the church will determine just how close you can park. Just remember it's exactly one mile (1.6kms) from the sacred pools (that aren't sacred).
