If you go to Hana continue on for eight miles just past marker 41 you will make a left turn, short distance left again to Palapala Congregational Church. Very small church, notice the stained glass window of Christ in Royal Hawaiian robes. Grave has a...More

My wife and I had a hard time finding the sign for the church. The address said 40990. When you get close to those numbers look to the left for a driveway and the sign for the church. It is easy to drive right by...More

Last stop on your road to Hana drive (if you're turning back and going the same way you came, otherwise you can take the rough road to continue on). This was not well marked getting to the church or the grave site. We used the...More

This is definitely worth your time if you’ve already done the Road to Hana up to this point. You will have to do a little hunting once you get to the church, but it’s worthwhile for a photo if you ate into history, travel, or...More

There was something very peaceful and serene around the little chapel where Charles Lindbergh was buried... We took about a half hour relaxing and taking in the calmness of the area... It made me read about Charles Lindbergh's life once I was back at the...More

This was our final stop on our trip on the road to Hana. The grave is located at a quaint church. It was peaceful out there and easy to get in and out of the area.

I was fascinated with the history when we visited Cahrles Lindbergh's grave. I'd had no idea it was in Hawaii, or that we would be able to see it. The ground are very peaceful and pretty and well cared for. The story was very interesting...More

Located on the grounds of the Palapala Hoomau congregational church in Kipahulu, it is nothing ornate, but rather plain for an American aviation Icon. For those wondering how he came to buried in such an out of the way location, when he was dying doctors...More

We stopped by the small church and garden to view Mr. Lindbergh's grave. It was a very beautiful setting next to the ocean with lots of nicely tended colorful tropical plants and a cute little church which appeared quite old but is well-maintained. We wondered...More

Enjoyed our brief stop to pay our respects to the man who was the first to cross the Atlantic nonstop in an airplane, Charles Lindbergh. Quiet setting with beautiful overlook of the rugged South Maui coastline. Small model of the "Spirit of St Louis" resting...More

Depending on the day and the time you happen to stop at the church will determine just how close you can park. Just remember it's exactly one mile (1.6kms) from the sacred pools (that aren't sacred).
