About
The Coastal Museum of Sæby is located in the historical half-timbered building “Consul Ørum’s Farm”. The Farm originates from the 17th century but it achieved its current appearance around 1800. The exhibitions at the Coastal Museum give a thorough introduction to the historical development of the charming borough, where you will still find several historical buildings that originates from the middle ages.

This is a small local museum. It is in a quaint building and gives some interesting local history facts and artifacts mainly about the seafaring nature of the town.
It is not worthwhile to make a special trip to the town to visit this but if you are in the area and want to learn some local history, this is the place to go. We enjoyed it.

My parents and I stopped here on a whim, and were pretty glad we did. It is quite small and not the most fancy, but that is what we liked about it. This was actually the perfect size museum, I think. I get overwhelmed and bored going through huge museums, and this one was compact and interesting. I do wish there was more information available in English though. Another nice thing about it is that your ticket gives you admittance to three other museums - bunkers in Skagen, an open air museum also in Skagen, and another thing I forgot. We went to the bunkers which we didn't previously know about, and it was awesome.

The museum is small overall but it holds interest for children. I would plan on a visit if you have children and will be in Saeby.
