Interesting alternative visit for a group to understand life in a troglo as well as the ins and outs of silk worm farming. The guide gave the tour in fluent English as we were a group of 18 and pre-booked the visit. We learned a great deal and all of the group enjoyed the visit.…

Hello and thanks for your message. We can indeed organise a guided tour in English for pre-booked groups. It is always a pleasure to be able to share our lifestyle with visitors from around the world. Have a great time in France ....

The gentleman who owns the troglodyte is an experienced tour operator who became a silk producer expert and knows very well how to explain both the troglo'life and the silk production procedures. The visit (75 minutes) is fascinating and will interest many people whatever their age or expertise. It is also an excelent complement to castles and zoo visits... A real must even when you live in Tours ! Thks Laurent.…

Hey, you are more than welcome ! Thank YOU for such a nice evaluation. It is indeed always a pleasure to let visitors have an insight into the life of a modern troglodyte. Don't hesitate to come back in a couple of years. We might eventually have an en-suite bathroom !

Hello and thanks for your kind message. Indeed we are at our busiest on rainy days ... and what a shame ! Our garden is so lovely in the sunshine ! You will understand that we can't conduct tours in two languages. With the amount of information we provide, this would take over 2 hours. I would suggest English-speaking guests to contact us when planning a visit. It is sometimes possible to organise an English-speaking tour for a minimum of 6 adults. It would basically depend on the number of guides we have available on that day. But please note that we always provide a written summary of the visit in English, German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish and French (for the hearing-impaired) to help those guests follow the French tour.

Brilliant for all ages. The talk by a real 'cave dweller' was excellent and a summary translation into English of each section was given as we went around. Very informative but visual too. Perfect for all ages. Please don't make the same mistake us though - PARK ON THE ROAD AT THE BOTTOM. Don't attempt to drive up the hill, it is unbelievably steep and narrow and with no parking up there!…
