My husband and I went on a wildlife safari trip with Teresa and Charles, and it was just magical. Turns out, its very windy in The Bahamas in August, so we went with their advice on the best day to go out (they were right!). We learned about mangroves and their importance to the environment and as a fish and turtle nursery, saw giant starfish, sharks, rays, and honestly too many turtles to keep count. We had a great lunch on a beautiful secluded cay, then did some reef fishing - they fish were practically jumping in the boat. We had more than enough for 2 meals! Teresa and Charles even navigated my seasickness with empathy (bring dramamine lol). They even dropped off a beautiful, cleaned conch that we found in the flats before we left which was a beautiful touch. Book with them - you won't be disappointed!

We did the "wildlife safari" day with Charles and Teresa, and it was truly spectacular. We saw turtles, stingrays, sharks, starfish, conch, and more, learned about the mangroves and sponge cutting, stopped by to see the swimming pigs (and got to hold a piglet), and had a delicious lunch on an amazing, beautiful deserted beach, including the best fish I have ever tasted in my life. Throughout, Charles and Teresa were warm, informative, relaxed, and kind -- perfect hosts. We felt completely safe with them and enjoyed every minute. They even met us at the airport to deliver the beautiful conch shell we'd found that day, and it was like seeing old friends. We'd do it again in a heartbeat.

My family and I spent the morning on a hike in Long Island with Charles and his wife, Teresa. Though the terrain was variable and the brush high, Charles led the way with his machete cutting a clear path before us. (NOTE: Be sure to wear long pants and sleeves as the brush will scratch any exposed skin). Along the way he shared history of the island and enlightened us about the various plants and brush typical of the island. The hike led to a beautiful, rocky beach where the Caribbean and Atlantic Oceans meet. Our kids collected shells and enjoyed meandering through the rocks and water. Our tour concluded with dinner at a private beach, line fishing, wading in the amazing waters of Long Island and eating some of the best fish and rice and beans we've ever tasted. Charles and Teresa were wonderful host, very knowledgeable about the island and kind. Take advantage of their expertise and knowledge. You will not be disappointed.

this is the second review we have given for this most amazing and hard working family and business ....
The last trip two years ago we were blessed to travel the water and the island and see thins you only see in a book or move , but for them its there back yard ...
We had the pleasure this trip to spend three unimaginable days on the water with them and the sites we saw and the pictures we brought back with us both on film or in our minds are priceless .
The fishing is so exciting yet such a small part of the open water adventure they shared with us.
In one day we had an opportunity to watch how to dive for conch , catch beautiful fish , snorkel along a reef of unbelievable sights and aquatic life , have porpoise dance beside the boat , (thanks to Shauna's whistles ... keep it up Teresa your getting it )
to see in turtles and pilot whales and schools of tuna and the frigates chase the dolphins and all of this on the most crystal clear blue waters you can only explain by seeing it in person ...and then to top the day off as it was Sunday , we were able to join in with a very touching and spiritual time of song and prayers with there family on the boat at open sea, to truly thank God for what we are so lucky to have and what he provides for our own existence , that in itself was remarkable and something we will never forget.
The last trip with this most amazing family plus the beauty of the whole island and its hidden gems , was what brought us back here again , but you always think what more could you possibly find or do that would keep your attention and interest and curiosity , but believe me they adventures that this family can take you on and the knowledge and respect they have for themselves and there environment , it will have you already planning your next trip.
The trip to Exuma , the chance to find sea glass , the stop off at Sandy cay to see the iguanas its all an adventure that this whole family knows so much about and they help to make you appreciate more and more what there goal in life is .......
This last trip has left us wanting to return tomorrow ,but that won't happen but we will return again someday , and we will always know that we have a home and amazing family to come back to .....
I again challenge any one with a sense of adventure , the willingness to learn , the value of hard work and the respect for your fellow man and the environment itself ,
to take one of the many adventures that Charles and Teresa and family have to offer and see if it doesn't make an impact on your life ....
It has with ours and we love them dearly for it ........
who knows , we may see you there some time ...
don't forget your camera and bring lots of smiles , they love them .....

We couldn't have been happier to book 2 days with Theresa and Charles. We were 2 adults and 3 kids (ages 9, 7 and 4). Charles is born and raised on Long Island and Theresa has been there 22 years so they really know their stuff. We did one full day on their boat and they went everywhere we requested - swimming with pigs, seeing the "snakes", reef fishing and snorkeling. The boat has a bimini top so there was plenty of shade, and we caught plenty of grouper and snapper to cook for dinner back at our hotel that night after Charles fileted them for us at the dock. We even caught a shark, which of course, the kids loved.
The next day we all piled into the roomy cab of Charles' truck and did the land tour. Again, they took us everywhere we wanted to go and then some. We saw a shrimp hole, old churches, visited Hamilton Caves, Dean's Blue Hole (and other blue holes), a natural lazy river where we had a gorgeous picnic lunch, a pineapple farm and learned all about what life is like living on a remote island.
What's probably the MOST important thing is that my kids did not complain or whine once. They never asked when we were going to be done and go back to the hotel. I'm not kidding - not even one time!!! They said the tours with Charles and Theresa were the best part of their trip. I HIGHLY recommend them if you really want to get out and explore the island. They really tailor the experience to your requests and make it happen all while being safe and taking tons of pictures for us and sending them to us afterwards.

Hi Dreamer!
Wow! Thanks so much for the great review! We had a blast and the kids made it so much fun to see their smiles and excitement!
We really enjoyed the two days! There is a lot more to see and do so write on your calendar, “must return to Long Island in 2024!”
As the kids get older we have diving conch and lobster when the season is open! Fishing competitions are always top listed! The pineapples are ripe in June and July!
Thanks again! We’ll be right here!
Wishing you all of life’s best!

We did the sea wildlife safari with Theresa and Charles. From the second we met up with them it felt like we weren’t on a tour but more with friends who were showing us their island. They went far beyond everything we imagined. We have a 6 and 8 year old and they were constantly showing them the amazing nature and animals big and small all throughout the island. We had a downpour of rain right before our barbecue and they just told us to go explore and they would make it happen and boy did they. Charles cooked us fish he fished just the day before that was amazing! They ended it with a hone made carrot cake. I mean wow. We didn’t want it to end. If we ever go back to Long Island the first thing we are doing is booking a tour with them!

Hello Alex’s G!
Thank you so much much for your kind remembrance of our day! The rain presented a challenge for sure but once the fire caught it was great to eat a hot meal and to watch the kids enjoy their tent!
We have to admit that showing our guests this amazing area is on the top of our everyday list. We love meeting new people and treat everyone as if we’ve known you all of our life!! You have an amazing family and we hope to see you again in the future! Stay safe and thank you again until next time! Charles and Teresa

We spent two wonderful days touring with Charles and Teresa and they were the highlights of our trip. If you are going to Long Island do yourself a favor and book with them. You will of regret it! We first did a land tour and they totally accommodated our young children and were flexible with the timing when our middle son got sick at the start of our vacation. Teresa was even so kind as to make a homemade chicken dumpling soup for him. So sweet and thoughtful. We learned and laughed so much! We also did a sea safari which exceeded all expectations! We saw so much sea life, it was incredible. They also found the most amazing secluded beaches for lunch both days. The food and the location were spectacular! We treasure the memories we made with our time with Charles and Teresa. Thank you for all you did to make our time together special. You both are true gems!

Hello AEG!
Thank you so much for the great review! We enjoyed it thoroughly. The boy’s surprised faces every time something exciting or new happened was well worth every minute! To watch them run, enjoy and manage the walk on the flats and even the Shrimp Hole Trail was a sign they are true adventurers!
Thank you for choosing us and for the great time we all had! We look forward to seeing you all again. The boys still have snorkeling, crabbing and fishing to get down to become true Long Islanders!
Take care and all the best, Charles and Teresa

Before coming to Long Island our family booked this quest and we are so happy we did! Charles and Teresa chose the best day of the week (weather wise) for us to go out which happened to be our last day. Definitely saved the best for last! We were greeted with hugs and smiles and then taken out on the most fun and interesting tour. We saw all sorts of wildlife, swam in the Caribbean, and were served a delicious lunch on a remote cay. Both Charles and Teresa know so much about the sea creatures that inhabit the cays and islands and are very passionate about conservation; implementing changes to protect the wildlife they show us! They were incredibly kind and thoughtful and even found a special conch for us to bring back. Overall they provided a wonderful experience that we will never forget and plan to come back to next year with more people! This is a must if you come to Long Island.

Hello 101bail!
Thank you so much for the awesome review! We did have an amazing day! We packed so much into it and yet it didn't seem rushed! The highlight was definitely the bottle nose porpoise! They presented themselves as the majestic animals they are not in the least timid and they couldn't care less that we were there! Beautiful and amazing! We are happy to have met your beautiful family and we look forward to seeing you next year! Lots of plans churning and so many more options to explore! Until we see you again, take care and God bless. Charles and Teresa

Charles and Teresa are amazing! They take care of the house we stayed at, and it was completely random that I found out they had a boat, so I asked him when he let us in to the house and that was the best decision made!
The boat is perfect for a couple looking for a fun day together. We saw sharks, bat rays, pigs, lobster, etc... so fun.
They caught the lobster while snorkeling and then we cooked it right on the beach... I’m not a seafood guy, but holy cow it was delicious!! The peas and rice was mmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmm good!
Anyways, I strongly suggest taking their tour!!

Hello Steven! Thanks for your kind words! Sometimes things just line up to create the most awesome day and we were all rewarded with a winner! I am still laughing at "I'm not a seafood guy, but...." , the smoke from the fire definitely takes the flavor up a notch! Your trip was short and we look forward to your return... there is still the rest of the best of Long Island! Long Island is a great sneak away and a short hop from the east coast! We hope to see you again soon. Thanks again for the awesome review. Take care and all the best! Charles

We spent the day with Teresa and Charles to explore Long Island and boy, we were not disappointed! They took us reef fishing, conch fishing, found some starfish, sea cucumbers, turtles and a lot more! My favorite part was when they took us to the most amazing sand bar where we had lunch (yummy, btw!). That sand bar is one of a kind! Big kudos to these two for making sure that we had fun all day! Thanks again!

Do you have a trip that also includes seeing the pigs?
Written May 8, 2023
Yes, we can always stop by the pigs! We go right past them! Would you like to go on the Sea Wildlife Safari where we see logger head turtles, green turtles, sting ray, eagle ray, conch, shark, starfish and more?
We offer reef fishing, deep sea fishing, a trip to see the endangered Bahamian Rock Iguanas or Snorkeling. On any of these adventures we can stop off to see the pigs!
Thanks!
