What fun this journey was. According to Google maps - 25 mins. According to Barbados sign posts 1hr 10!!! Was almost there in 25 mins, then due to their wonderful signs, took completely the wrong guess at direction and ended up in what appeared to...More

The beach and surf are beautiful and worth a stop, even with the sargassum seaweed. Great for some photos!

Worth a drive here very scenic. We didn’t get to swim as the currents were so strong and apparently not advisable. The view from the top of the hill as we drove to it was spectacular. Lots of tourists around but is expected for this...More

The beach has golden sands and the sea is very rough on this side of the island. Very strong currents and this is not a swimming area. This is a very picturesque beach and some truly massive boulders on the coastline just lying around.

Really an incredible site to view. Might even see the man with the green monkey on a leash near by. The rocks seem to float on the water. The tall structure that might be a washroom was intresting.

What a contrast the East coast is from the West, we stopped at Bathsheba on a drive around the island and had a picnic, it was very peaceful with just the roar of the ocean in the background and was great to watch the surfers.

Bathsheba beach and all down the east coast of Barbados moving across the south coast as far as Rockley Beach is plagued with sea weed making the water and beaches difficult to use. Although the south is not as bad as the east coast.

This side of the island is surfer's paradise! Great waves, big volcanic rocks almost washed off by the ocean. If you ask locals- this is THE view of the island! I do agree, as I've never seen such beauty!

We visit Bathsheba every time we come to Barbados. It’s such a vast contrast to a calmer Caribbean side of the island. This time round there was plenty of seaweed washed out on the beach so the walk didn’t seem very appealing. The drive along...More

We visited Bathsheba Beach as part of a tour and although there is very little to do here the beach, rocks and raging sea and waves are a must see. Definitely not a place for swimming (red flags everywhere) but nevertheless spectacular.

No, it has not been affected. However, keep in mind that the Atlantic ocean in Batsheba area is rough, the beach is rocky and though scenic for watching, it's not good for swimming, but best suited for surfing. It's a good... More

I would agree with other people the sea on the east coast is suitable for surfing but there is no place to moor a boat in Bathsheba, get the bus from Bridgetown, it’s 2 Barbados dollars each, great value and a lovely journey.
